How much will car insurance cost for a blind driver? Will any company even cover them? Or will they just make all seeing drivers pay extra for Unseeing Motorist coverage?
I think I read somewhere that they were planning SQ7 to be more of an action game. I don't know how true that is, but based on what has become of Leisure Suit Larry, I'm glad it ended with SQ6.
Merit pay could also just end up causing even worse shortages of teachers in areas where kids don't do well in school. Teachers would try to get jobs in schools where they aren't really needed, where kids do well already.
I remember reading this article and the human conversation at the end of the linked article seemed like he/she was trying to sound like a robot...
Were the human 'subjects' aware that the were part of a test to trick people?
The other thing I would add is try smaller companies.
I concur.
I think smaller companies have better interviewers, and are more likely to give someone a shot for 90 days. Also important: never underestimate the importance of your references, personal and professional.
I think that parents encouraging their children to look at porn would be a decent deterrent. The last thing I want to think about when I'm "seriously" looking at porn is my parents encouraging me.
Were the students running this experiment on their own PCs? I'd care more about malware being installed on my own computer than on some computer I'll never use again. It wasn't mentioned in the article, but I sadly doubt the results would be much different.
What is missing is an assay of how many people it would flag if they were told to behave as if they were SCARED. You know... scared of being flagged for behaving abnormally...
Or more importantly (imho) people that are just plain scared of flying, or public places. Or people with heart conditions or high blood pressure or asthma or tourettes syndrome... etc.
you may also need to disable system restore, which will probably become obvious if you didnt
Obviously, the appendix is a useful place for storing things like paperclips, fingernail clippings, and loose tooth fillings

...it is now considered cruel to throw Paris Hilton into a large pot of boiling water.

Mod parent up. The IF archive has provided me with countless hours of entertainment.
I remember thinking this on election day 2000
Obviously these are just the reported UFO sightings that weren't aliens.

I'm guessing that the extent of your actions to help the world economy when it's at its worst is trolling on slashdot
Yeah! It's a feature!
with a name like Ultra Hal, I was tempted to be scared. Apparently 'Ultra' does not mean what I think it means.
Agreed. I overclock, but I accept the risk, and do a little research first.
I'm quite surprised and relieved that something useful has come from Miami U, given the type of students they have.

Apple should have learned from the best misleading advertisements, and restated the iPhone as having "virtually all the internet"
The Long Now Foundation is really a cover for the Second Long Now Foundation. But don't tell anyone, it won't work if anyone knows about it.
The chip then sends radio signals to a larger device carried by the client with a global positioning system in it.
Or they can just smash the 'device' to bits. I fail to see the utility of this system.
come to think of it, I haven't seen the taco bell chihuahua in a while...
