  1. Secret sauce to fix... on Blizzard's 'Secret Sauce' · · Score: 1

I wish they'd take the time to tune things up nicely in some aspects of World of Warcraft. I swear their maintenance process for that game is like a weekly earthquake. There are pre-quake rumblings on Monday, the earthquake of maintenance on Tuesdays, and aftershocks on Wednesdays.

You may laugh and chuckle and say it's a game but the maintenace period lasts on average 6 hours on tuesdays. Throw in a big patch day like the up and coming 1.11 Naxxaramas/Shaman/Mage review patch and your talking a whole day of downtime for bugs and upgrades it seems. Each patch blows out the game and the user has to go in and wipe their cache clean and disable/enable any custome UI mods. Now not everyone who plays WoW is a computer genius and I've seen lots of people have very difficult times dealing with things during patch days.

I'm throughly convinced that each Tuesday is a natural disaster waiting to happen as far as the game goes. It is a fun an addicting game. If the game was a piece of crap, the maintenance thing would have driven off hordes of their huge subscriber base long ago. I just wish they'd stamp out a lot of the headaches associated with the maintenance of the game.

Type-o's can be a hard thing to spot for even experienced coders. That missing bracket or extra quote will stand out a lot nicer depending on the highlighting and help them see their simple mistakes quicker.

VI highlights a lot different languages, something like that to start off with wouldn't hurt I think. Easy to open, edit, and save a file. As they get better they can explore other options. Another good one is a basic version of jEdit with your languages highlight plugin installed. If your running them on Linux machines with KDE, Kate has some syntax highlighting too I believe.

PvE isn't any better, it's comprised with big raids and dungeons that require huge time sinks in order to progress. The simple fun that was there early on evaporates after reaching the end of progression. I'm sorry, Dell's support plain sucks, no wonder the university I work for uses all Gateways. We get better support from them on our terms as customers.

    - AQ is suposedly harder then the Blackwing Lair Dungeon.

    - New armor sets in AQ are split between the 20 and 40 man dungeons. 3 pieces in the 20 and 5 in the 40 suposedly.
