The difference being is that in Second Life you're givin' the tools to do this. In EQII and most of the large MMOG's, that lvl Uber mithryl sword is already been made BY THE DEVELOPERS and is waiting for someone to complete some boring ass mission to claim it.
So it's true. In spot 1 there's a brief shot of Anakin and Obi-Wan lava surfing. Hang ten dude!

There *IS* no market competition for new games. 49.99 or 49.96 at Wal*Mart so they can still claim to be the "Low price leader". Gamestop and EB? Oh look 49.99. At least at Best Buy or Wal*Mart you don't have the community college dropout that works there pestering you to pre-order every over hyped future bomb.
Disable Javescript if you're running Firefox, or they will kick you back if you don't take their survey.

That's the best way (if not the fastest) to get your comic more visibility. If it's worth reading, your fans will be sure to tell their friends "You should check this out."
That's how I heard about P-A and DieselSweeties when they were the NKOTB
I didn't think they allowed what are essentially "patches" to fix bugs over Live. Does Bungie get a pass because they are owned by MS? Or is there precedent for this. I don't play on Live nor do I own Halo2, so I don't know all the politics.
They do sell a controller packed with games on a ROM chip, just not in the US. I think it's in China and Korea if I remember correctly. Google for Nintendo iQue. Last time I was at the site, Lik Sang carried them.
I too grew up in Wisconsin, but in the south central area (re: Madison.) It gets cold there, but not cold enough to effect the speech control portion of our brains.
We don't choose who our information goes to anymore.
I was conversing with a friend who's working with a company that processes claims for class action lawsuits. Right now they're working on a huge one against an insurance company; doctors seeking reimbursement for services that the insurer didn't pay out.
The claims are sent in with patients names, SS#'s, and medical information pertaining to the claim. Since the suit was so large and there's a ton to process, the company brought in ~100 temps who sit there reading through people's health information while they work.
Your information has passed before more eyes and through more hands than you can count on the fingers and toes of you and ten people you know.
The best you can do is keep an eye on your bank/cc statements, your credit report and cross your fingers and hope they pick the next guy in the stack to try and screw.
The original controller was a mess, I'll agree. But the Xbox S is probably the best controller I've ever used.
I don't get people's love affair with the PS controllers. They're so small my hands cramp up. The S controller for the box fits right into my hand comfortable and doesn't cause any fatigue.
Btw that picture looks nearly identical to the Logitech Wireless Xbox controller and various other 3rd party Xbox controllers, minus the black and white buttons. It wouldn't be terribly surprising if MS embraced and extended someone else's original design. We'll see at E3 I guess.
The guy is impressed by EA's list, yet I only see 2 EA games on it that I'm interested in - Battlefield 2 and possibly B&W2. The other sequels like Burnout are just to flog that horse. I'm only interested in BF2 because of what I've read about the engine. I just wanna see how it turns out and I haven't read about B&W2 really. The rest are their usual sports releases plus Batman Begins, which I hear is just derivative of the Splinter Cell gameplay.
As for most everything else, I guarantee E3 will be about the only time they'll get much attention.
Because they're obviously gunning for the college crowd with this. The new consoles will be more expensive than prior generations, you gotta get those kids to start buying fewer packages of ramen ASAP so they have enough for a downpayment on a loan come release.
Like Warner Bros. is doing with The Matrix Online? They have billboards in the game for their movies, even the paying subscribers see them, unlike in AO where the freebie players are the only ones to see their ads.
I see it more as a reason not to buy Xbox2/Next/360 until 2007. Especially since there is talk that the new console will *not* be backwards compatible.
I used Steam for a while back when CS 1.6 required it. I quit after a couple weeks. I use to play games strictly with people I knew, but Steam really made the process frustrating. Occassionally we still play Pre-Steam CS.
It's 14.99 + the ads for WB movies you get to see on billboards across the city. Ridiculous! That would be like paying for cable TV and having commercials... oh wait.
And since we know CherryOS is crap, I thought I'd ask a question related to emulation as a whole.
I'm not very "up" on PearPC or OS emulation at all...
At some stage would it be possible to run OS X through a Linux back end w/o having X or a Linux DE running at all?
What I'm saying is, could it evolve to where you boot right into OSX? Or does it have to run in a window (like the screenshots show)?
Anyone want to go in on a new business with me? Shielded card carriers and passport sleeves. I predict it to be a boom market soon. And all we need to invest in is aluminum foil!
Should read "How much smoke can we blow up your ass over one console?"

To come up with a digital download system, especially for PC games.

Shouldn't that be ex-wife?
I wasn't a big BF 1942 fan. Like you I did play a lot of OF and the Red Hammer expansion

I'm not a college kid and I hate ramen. It was tongue in cheek.

A change in lifestyle will lead to new possibilities in romance.
Now that's food for thought.

You can burn MS *AND* VoodooPC with those guys. They sell the same Sager laptops for a substantially lower price
No it isn't
