    From the preface to the 1703 (corrected edition) of 'The True-Born Englishman':

    I should have been concerned at its being printed again and again by pirates, as they call them, and paragraph-men; but would that they do it justice and print it true according to the copy, they are welcome to sell it for a penny if they please. [Emphasis mine]

    Note that he was much more sanguine about the piracy after three years (the poem was originally printed for sale in 1701) in that it provided a vast audience for his work who, otherwise, would not have been able to afford it. This helped lead to his becoming celebrated during his lifetime.

    I hereby propose, from this day forth, that we call all copyright infringers "paragraph-men".

    Tablets and netbooks are different products for different purposes. How are they even competing? And no, the iPad won't kill netbooks. It costs thee times as much as a netbook.

    That's a design flaw. It wouldn't even be a problem if the autopilot switch couldn't be toggled from "don't crash" to "crash" in the first place.

    They did have screen shots. Every Atari 2600 game I bought had awesome cover art on the front, and a some screenshots on the back. The Activision Anthology GBA cart reproduces the box art for each game. If you have a GBA (or DS), I highly recommend it. Great collection of classics.

    Yes, but OS/2 was still way better than Win95. Win95 was 32-bit "OS" bolted on DOS. OS/2 was 32-bit from the ground up. The Windows of today has more in common with OS/2 than it has with Windows 95.

    But most users are installing the non-server non-phone-home version of the OS.

    I recall an annoying registration window popping up in the regular OS X installer that did not offer a 'skip' button. So, I disagree on the 'non-phone-home' non-sense you've come up with.

    You can hit Command-Q to quit the registration, and then it will ask you if you want to skip it. They should just put the "Skip" button right there in the window, though.
