  1. Interesting on Charting Virtual Worlds · · Score: 0

Well there are some really cool maps out there. There is this one site with all these maps, i cant remember it, like www.something ology.com. Anyone know what this site is? It has some awsome maps, and some of those site tracing software.

  2. OSDN on Exodus Files For Chapter 11 Protection · · Score: 0

OSDN is going to have to figure something out. Too many tech companies are going down, I am glad my website is small and part time. Phew.

  3. Who Buys CDs? on Still More 'Copy Protected' CDs · · Score: 0

Well I would bet that most slashdot readers dont buy their CDs, I never buy my cds unless I feel like it, or it is like some game music. My 10 Gb of MP3's is good enough for me.

  4. $$$ on Satellite Radio Is Officially Here · · Score: 0

If they want a profit, they sure as hell better cater to all music tastes. With a 100 channeles you know there are going to at least 30 pop channeles probably more. We want some Techno, and stuff. Even then, this is going to be a hard one to try to make a profit. If I had the money though, I would sure get it, but like someone else said "it will be cracked".

  5. Console Linux on Linux On Your Dreamcast · · Score: 0

Linux on Dreamcast, PS2, PlayStation. I am sure that Microsoft will work so hard to make sure that no one hacks the Xbox, especially to put Linux.

  6. Scam on TransOrbital: The Commercial Race To The Moon · · Score: 0

Wow, what an excellent business model. How do they expect to make a profit off of sending bussiness cards to the moon? I dont think they can, I say leave space exploration up to the government.

  7. Poor Afghans on Afghanistan Is Like Nothing You've Ever Seen · · Score: 0

I heard this in my local paper, it is from an Afghany woman "I dont care if the US strikes and kills me and my six kids, I have nothing to live for." This is really sad, These Afghan people are so poor that nobody there cares about their own lives. This is really sad.

  8. Re:Sick of Lego on Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Lego · · Score: 0

I could care less about Lego. Legos were cool when I was like eight, but now a days I could care less.

  9. Nuon and Toshiba on Immersive HDTV · · Score: 0

Remember when Toshiba tried to make their Nuon, if not it was some gaming system that came out like 6 months ago but no one knew about it because it wansnt its own system, it combined with dvd players. Well they tried to this with DVD's this interactive feature, and it flopped.

  10. Scarry on Robots Go To War · · Score: 0

Sounds almost scarry. What if the operator is a terrorist who joined the army to sabatouge the mission? and he fires on american troops? wouldnt that be scary, but of course it would never happen.

  11. I know where you can find a job. on Are There Any Fun Tech Jobs Left? · · Score: 0

There is this excellent little site called freqmodu(non-paying job). But seriously if I were you, I would stay at the job you have now, and go around looking for sites to write for (getting no money, but since there is nothing to do at your gov job you can just update the site at work). Get your name out there and within a year or so you could work your way up, earning name recognition. I got a job at PSXN and they are still looking for people (that is if you like games), there are many more out there, but work you way up.

  12. Why, Cracked. on Michael Jackson Releases Uncopyable CD · · Score: 0

First off, who would want any micheal jackson crap. and Secondly if you really wanted it, you could find some sort of way to crack it. There will be ways around this, because i dont think this will be the last record company who will do this.

  13. Drunk Astronauts on Beer In Space · · Score: 0

Do we really want some drunk astronaut destroying the bijillion dollare Internation space station. This wouldnt be cool.

  14. Xbox Size on XBox Delayed · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Many of ya'll might know this, but the Xbox is simply huge. This thing is a monster, it is like more than 2 times the size of the PS2. Nintendo and Microsoft are way to late with their systems. PS2 has the games, the support, and the time advantage. Their will be no competion. Who wants to be associated with microsoft (shouldnt have said that one) and Nintendo wouldnt license thier system to the Pope. Nintendo is a real pain in the ass to deal with. So sorry microsoft and nintendo, to late :)

  20. Great Story on Freedom Flees in Terror · · Score: 0

"Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say, What should be the reward of such sacrifices? ... If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom -- go from us in peace. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you."--Samuel Adams

Fire from the skies and hatred from afar last Tuesday caused human carnage and suffering at an unthinkable level. They dealt terrifying blows to our financial institutions, our transportation and communications systems, our political and military nerve centers, and to a nation's sense of self and security.

  21. Would you want this done to you? on Gall Bladder Removed In France By Doctor In New York · · Score: -1

Well I wouldnt feel comfortable with someone operating on me from thousands of miles away. What if the cable got severed? I would want a real doctor. What if the programmers screwed something up? that would really suck.

  25. Dot Coms Will Stay on No One Wants The Not-Coms · · Score: -1

I know for sure that no one wants to have a .biz, .info, ect. With most webhosts it takes a whole lot of extra effort to use this new extension (dont ask why), and like someone else already said, those silly trademark things. Putting forth the extra effort of creating a .com name is a lot more fun than getting yahoo.biz, or another unoriginal name. And who came up with the idea of these extensions, there should have been a survey or something of existing domain carriers, I for one believe that they w3 (or whoever came up with it) could have thought of something better.
