...I just remembered something from uni. Once you get the deal with OO the rest will suddenly click. It was like that for pretty much everyone in my course.
General Methods Find buddies. I'm not kidding. People to study with equals much faster learning. When I started uni (too long ago) I was doing a Comp Sci/Electronic Engineering double, and the workload was insane. Pretty quickly, everyone worked out pretty quickly that the only way to cope with the insane workloads was to work together.
I don't mean cheating either. It's just that it's like having a tutor, all the time. That should be your first port of call, and if you still can't do it, (not having at go at you) you should really look at a change of careers.
Old news, but the best article I've read on this yet is the New Scientistarticle from a couple of years ago in which they first (for me) described realtime rendering using existing games. Interesting stuff.
Apart from the fact that it uses the backdoor created by MyDoom to spread, it doesnt have enough in common with MyDoom to be a variant of it, which is probably why on the CNET link it only mentions the name Doomjuice.
The MyDoom.C name used in links such as the ABC one is probably for good headlines
This might be important, but the real issue is early detection of this desease, avoiding cross contamination, etc. If you want to be scared, trace the life of a cow once it leaves the farm, and play spot the faults at every step along the way. Trust me... it is very, very easy.
I've heard it said that one hamburger can contain parts from 1000 head of cattle. When youre talking those sorts of numbers, the potential for outbreak, both for this and other diseases, is huge.
Disposing of the bodies is one thing, but far more important is early detection and isolation.
To the thread author: welcome to the real world, where youll find people rejecting your work for things as insignificant as font size or program version.
Consider it a learning experience which could have been worse... at least you were allowed to redo it.
Seriously.
Ignoring all other concerns, if they extend the release date of their next OS a couple of years, they should extend the same treatment to their last supported.
If anything, this is the most solid admission (in public terms) I've seen of the admission of a very delayed Longhorn release date.
Australia has bases there and controls a huge chunk of the continent. He had originally planned to fly to Argentina, and if he's only an hour short of there, surely he has enough fuel to fly to an Australian base instead?
They most likely think of the Empire State or the (now disassembled) Twin Towers as the largest.
Nitpick all you want. If it made it, it made it. At the first to break a half km, it deserves some respect.
"Candle truck" returns 109k matches, while "fuck truck" returns 631k.
Upon hearing this news, I will be refashioning all stock in my candle shop as dildos, as there appear to be at least 6 times as many fuckers in the world as I previously thought.
...having found that double the playtime for twice as many times is of far greater value than half the speed for half the repetitions.
It also forms the backbone of many memory fads... an example is the last tape of the Mega Memory course, where, you can hear Kev extoll the values of high speed learning.
Personally, I think the best thing a Uni student will ever own is a variable speed notetaker.

Hope that helped.

...and in other news, several thousand internet users mysteriously suffered spontaneous eye bleeding.
...at the same time. ;)
"Impaired" has an "i" in it. And you misspelt it twice. Nice going.

On the other hand, they have by now had DVD X Copy as a test case, so they must be making something to bother continuing...

I am willing to contribute to this, having some GB/month to spare, and hating spammers... but what Im wondering is how much bandwidth this might cost?

I should start making recommendations to major companies.
Maybe then I'd finally get people pretending with me.
