who actually know something about earthquakes as opposed to the fuckwits who want to sue. Earthquake intensity is notoriously hard to predict - in fact if my memory serves me correctly it has only happened a couple of times in the last couple of decades despite billions being spent on research and monitoring.

My post was not intended to be funny, although it clearly is to someone. Privacy is a serious concern. In my world (education) we are constantly having to tell students - and staff for that matter - that their postings are not private. I don't know what the person was actually fired for, and frankly I don't care - the point is that there is a presumption that social network sites are private. They are not and this has been obvious for some time. Hence my "idiot" comment.

FFS the US should be thanking him for finding security flaws and not selling them to someone else. In this case I say FUCK THE TREATY!

I went to a Chiropractor about 2 years ago because I realised that my back was getting stiffer and less flexible - not surprising as I had just hit 50, and have a fairly sedentary job. Has my back improved - yes .... Placebo effect? who knows. But what I can say is that the incidence of migraines has improved from 3 a week to one a month over the last 2 years. Coincidence? Maybe but it was never suggested to me that that was even possible, and it was not what I went for. So does Chiropractic work? Hell yes!

  9. Conroy ... on Oz Pirate Party Tells the Elderly How To Bypass the Net Filter · · Score: 1

Conroy is a moron .....or maybe he has to toe the party line. Whichever, the government of oz is delusional if they think a filter can block "unacceptable" sites. I bought my copy of The Peaceful Pill online despite the fact that it is banned here on oz - it arrived in a cardboard package with "book" written on the customs sticker, and no doubt the customs Xray confirmed that it is in fact a book. The other huge con (short for Con-roy) is "think of the children" - well please tell me Mr Conroy how filtering my internet will stop pedophiles making kiddy porn. That's right it wont!

However it is still the single most effective non-computer-driven mode that can punch through heavy RF noise and be heard thousands of km away. Here in oz, we have found that now that morse is not a requirement, there has been a surge of interest in it....... odd isn't it?

This sounds like a victory for the scientific method to me. Oh, hang on was there any chicken guts in the research? No? Then throw out all the research and find someone to blame. Did I have my children vaccinated? Yes, because the risks of not dong so far outweigh the risks from the vaccines.
