Don't let a few 'freak-success' stories get you down. These sort of things aren't as prevalent as you think, of course one person making alot of money non-traditionally will get press. And as we all know the press will blow things out of proportion giving a false sense of 'everyone but you'. How many truly rich people do you know? Keep that in perspective.
While not all companies can afford offices to be built for our IT Staff (I'm the network admin), we did get brand new cubes with 6ft walls. We are the envy of all other departments now:). I found the easiest solution to 'getting in the zone' in my cube is investing in a nice pair of headphones and an external drive for all my music.
One of the easier ways (if you are well versed in xp services) is to disable/manual set all the services you will not need. Of course, this assumes you KNOW what all those services do in the first place;)
keep in mind, when you assume, you sometimes make an ASS out of U and ME.
I personally love this game. After reading some people's thoughts it did bring to light some problems with it, but I would consider the new 'features' a great improvement to the Burnout saga. Some of the music does suck but thats the case with any game featuring real artists (real? lol), thankfully EA put in the customize soundtrack feature which has been standard for many of the games (SSX for example). I find myself constantly yelling to my roommate 'zOMG, did you see that?!', or 'GET OUT OF THE WAY I CAN NOT SEE!', usually more the first than the latter. One of the things I've noticed across the board from friends is a reluctancy to get the newest Burnout. I don't know what EA were thinking with the promotional aspect of things but it doesn't really sell itself as being very different. My roommate, who was doubting B3.5, now completely agrees it was worth the purchase (it was my money anyway).
All in all it is a fun game and there is certainly nothing else like it out there, i give it a 9 out of 10.
Looks like we've ended terrorism, stopped the flow of drugs and prevented coastal cities from disaster. Its nice to see our government with its prioities straight.
current phone and other portable devices can not operate with the bloat of a Windows release occupies.
Microsoft did get off to a fairly slow start in the handheld and phone arenas. Why do you think that was?
Gates: If you take the handheld space, I wouldn't say we were slow there.
It would be interesting to see how many of the employees in the microsoft use google instead of MSN. I know for a fact if i were researching something from work not to even bother with MSN.

wouldn't using PoE cause some problems concerning power codes for buildings etc? I know when we have electrical work done here you need a contractor that follows all the codes.
i've had a shuttle knockoff for 1.5 years (ams gbox). when i first purchased it i really liked the small factor of it all until i needed to upgrade the memmory and agp video card... of course the memmory in slot 2 would be interescting a large agp card. on top of all this is the amount of heat my p4 2.6ht processor creates inside. the only direction for cpu air exhaust to go was up, directly onto the hard drive cage. over time i believe it led to the failure in my system partition.
now i'm building a watercooled case in a roomy mid tower where everything will have plenty room to breathe.
all in all the form factor is great, but as i see it the components inside will start to suffer over time more so than a standard well thought out tower.
the guys at pimprig got a water block with there demo machine. if it will be included to everyday joe customer is unknown. I think its a pretty neat plug and play water cooling system.

Oh good, hopefully this release will clear the previous nick-name given by its user of 'Star Orifice".
