I've always found it odd that even though the US SMB2 wasn't considered canon, some parts of it have managed to make their way into the real Mario world anyway, Birdo, Shyguys, the fact that Luigi can jump higher than Mario, Princess Peach floating...
If I'm not using my computer exclusively for gaming, I WANT the software you mentioned (except for AOL... ewwwww.). If I didn't have Quicktime, or Real, or Adobe preinstalled I'd probably be forced to install it myself at some point. What I don't want is the trial versions of image editing software, or financial managment software, or the isp listings, or the toolbars, and I don't want to pay extra for any of what's installed, including the useful stuff.
And I don't use a computer exclusively for gaming, because I see no point as an average user in having a seperate computer for websurfing and e-mails.
That clip was actually used as the intro to last week's episode of the Simpsons as well.

I'm happy to see that the game will let you slow down and micromanage back to the old FF levels if you want to. The demo with DQ8 didn't really help show this off. It also didn't help you show how to set up these AI scripts for your characters... basically the whole thing felt like it was an auto-pilot, I was just leading a band through a dungeon. Are there better camera angle options to facilitate the deeper level of control? In the demo version I had trouble watching my party members let alone controlling them.
So the placeholder realm is just an overcomplicated GUI? I have to RUN across this virtual world (which, being the Hub, will be as full as Ironforge), to get to the game I want to play? Give me a menu to click on, thanks.
Controller options will always be available, even if nothing is designed specifically for the Revolution, there are always Gamecube controllers. Then again, I'm not sure there was much of a market for fighting sticks for cube. There was Soul Calibur 2 though, some I'm sure SOMETHING was made.
With Sega releasing the Dreamcast as early as they did (relatively), Sony is really fighting an uphill battle here. Whether or not the PS2 is better than the DC, the "next-gen" war is already heavily favored to those who actually make their products available.
Sure there are some Sony fanboys who would refuse to buy Sega products I'm sure, but then factor in the Nintendo Gamecube release later this year and well... I just don't see how they can really expect to win major market share with this platform.
Not a fanboy, but look how that worked out last time.
And definatly don't play Mario Kart from the driver's seat of your car (while parked obviously). I did that once, and driving out of the parking lot I kept wanting to yank the wheel up to get the car to hop for turns.
Blizzard would stand by their Teen rating (8 year olds should not be playing WoW, I'd be surprised if an average 8 year old could even figure out how to fight things in WoW), and the ESRB notice that Online Gameplay may change blah blah.
But more on the topic, this has never been about making a WoW guild as a forum to have Gay/Lesbian cyber-sex, it's about advertising a guild that would be friendly to people of the GLBT persuasions. About the worst I can imagine happening in the channel is a guy talking about how is boyfriend was being a dick in chat, just like you might see a straight person say about their significant other.
The new old school formula has worked quite well for Zelda, just look at Oracle of Ages/Seasons and Minish Cap. A FF in the older style could be quite good. I'd actually like to see reuse of one of the older FF class/job/materia/esper/etc systems in a new world. 2D or 3D doesn't matter to me a whole lot, but anything on a portable system would get big points.
The Red Cross has made a similar attempt in the past. Neopets used to have a hospital in it's game world depicting a red cross on the building. Due to pressures, they were forced to change the cross to a green color. The change didn't get a whole lot of publicity, and a quick google search didn't turn up anything on the change though.
Like many of the replies, I had a similar case of being mistaken for a female in a game... The odd thing it was Diablo 2, where certain classes were just certain genders. If you wanted to play an Amazon or a Sorceress, you had to be a Female (and those were two of the more popular classes as well).
So I named a Fire-based Sorceress "BlowsHotKisses", and it's going fine until I get a tell asking what else I blow. Oh kay.
Maybe they'll clone him instead... Could be the aliens first chance to study a live human being (that is, if you don't beleive that the aliens have been anal probing the country bumpkins all along)
Hmm, if anyone can have as many free registrations as they want, then they can allow only one character per account, and let all the alts drive their numbers up more. I haven't investigated this game to see if that is actually happening, but it does seem to be a possibility.
And yet the biggest complaint about the original Katamari was that most of the levels took place in the same location. While there are a few matching levels in W3K, there are many new original types.
Besides, it seemed to work for Dance Dance Revolution. (Freeze arrows, woah!)
Let us not forget that Cartoon Network and Adult Swim (despite sharing the same channel on your cable TV) are considered seperate Networks in all ratings and promotion. Similar to Nickelodeon and Nick at Nite. This likely means that when they say Cartoon Network, they mean non-Adult Swim. I hope I'm wrong on this one.
If they're planning on releasing it at any point this year, they probably have all the footage shot. If they're making any changes to the movie at all, it's editing and special effects. More likely they want to release the movie around Haloween to get in on the scary movie rush.
I say we need both. There is no reason to limit a console to one type of game or the other, because there will be times where one can dedicate an extended period of time to a portable game, but there will also be time that a quick game is necessary. There's no reason to only publish one type of game.
I can count several times this week that I've been playing my DS somewhere (Subway, Mall, etc), and random man off the street confused it for a PSP. Once was even about a week before the PSP release.

Ironic that their preview section is called hype when there seems be none of it based on your description.

Of course, at this point Rockstar can release pretty much anything and sell it on that basis alone. Scary, eh?

Assuming of course we don't decide to block out the sun in a vain attempt to win a war with the machines.

Total on Hand over Available on Hand could also be for preorders that haven't been picked up.
No, Starvation is obviously The Sims.

Nintendo lobbies Namco to include Link in SCIII anyway, to gain more recognition for it's failing console. SCEA was unavailable for comment.
(Disclaimer: I am a Nintendo fan, but this was too good to pass up)
