you can try play-asia.com, dunno how their prices and services are to lik-sang. i know they operate in a similar manner, but only beer to their site a couple of times ever.
I actually finished KOTOR2, and after that I have no desire to play it again, unlike KOTOR1, which I have played through in different ways about 4 times. KOTOR2 seemed unfinished (as mentioned here many a time), had some really disjointed cut-scenes, a plot that I went "WTF??" most of the way through, and seemingly a lot of unnecessary combat (there was a lot in KOTOR1 also, at least it was bearable and almost paced decently).
KOTOR2's updated influence/dialog model was pretty cool at least... if a KOTOR3 is made, I hope they keep that aspect.
This may be redundant... but the iPod did not require third party software to use. You could put MP3s that you had on it it and go and use it anywhere. PS3 will require software/games to sell it (i know it can browse the web and play music and videos, not the main selling point i think - even then, this may apply to Blu-Ray movies to a degree, also), and if it takes too long to adopt, the software developers will pull out because they aren't making profits from developing for the system.
Heh, I will have to admit on going on small Powerstone 2 binges every couple of months or so on my DC. That game as well as: "Ikaruga" and "Gauntlet: Legends" keep my interest.
16x speed of a DVD for a medium that could possibly hold 16x (or more) data. So the speed increase relative to the amount of data to be access is pretty much flattened out, or worse??
True, Linden Dollars HAVE no legal value themselves. However, Linden Labs/Second Life has a page stating the exchange rate for a Linden Dollar to some other real-world currency. The exchange rate is updated daily and determines how many, for example, L$ (the shortcut for a Linden Dollar, IIRC) a user can get for a US dollar.... AND VICE VERSA. If a user has thousands of L$ in their Second Life account, they can exchange that for a real-world currency, via a check or a deposit into a PayPal account (other methods do exists I believe, I just don't what they are, my wife played for a couple months then cashed out and quit playing).
...maybe might be done with second marriage in a few years. However, this time, it is no fault of my S.O. She is a fine and great person in her own right. I'm just not marriage material and increasingly finding my self with a "trapped" feeling, like I'm in some sort of obligation without understanding what I really got into (both marriages)
In my case, I enjoy my work, career (software development), and hobbies more than I care about family and traditions. Also, I am a bastard and find it increasingly difficult to live with other people; however, I don't know if that is exactly an IT-only thing.;)
I know if this second marriage does dissolve sometime down the road (not 100% guaranteed it will, just looking that way, and mostly my fault), I'm not doing it again. As it is I have a dim view of relationships and marriage and raising families, etc.
Maybe it has to do with my work and my personality pre-disposition to such work. I do software development during the day, *sometimes* contract work in the evenings, I geek out for my hobbies, and I'd rather go out and have a few drinks more often than be trapped at home when I have time to go out. I'm not very family-oriented, and getting less as they days go by, while my wife is fairly family-oriented, and getting more as the days pass by. When will be the point of difference between us that is so far we don't care anymore? Oddly, we never really fight, we get along great most of the time.

Geez.... Splitting hairs much? I meant for "scripting in the game". Mono is not a scripting platform either, didn't bitch about that did you? LET ME REPHRASE: Linden Labs in not planning on using Java as their user-generated-byte-code-for-a-specific-JIT language. Just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?
Man i must be living in the wrong part of the coutry - i just don't see it happening. Maybe it's me and NONE of my friends have the disposable income anymore. Then again, those of us NOT buying HDTVs aren't buying any SDTVs either.

The thing is... it should probably happen MORE often
Why? I dunno to possibly make a shitload of cash?

... Linden Labs has no intention (at this moment) of using Java for their scripting language. Mono is the next step, from the developer logs.
... also I want one, when they are available.
In addition, I will pay good $$$ for the Brooklyn Bridge.
Wish I had mod points.... that was practically more interesting the TFA.
"...how do you call something that's overpriced, and then overpriced again?"
excessively overpriced?
Silly person, all lawyers are crazy. They're nowhere near "sound"! ;)
it's gotta be a cheaper tax than that *heavy* energy...
