Danger close
Anyone familiar with footage taken by soldiers on the ground will be able to cite incidents where 500 lb bombs are used on enemies as close as 70 m. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=e14_1251741282 Seeing the shock wave and then having repeated blasts enter the helmet would most likely compound the problem even further. Danger close bomb strikes are most likely contributing to the TBI. Damn. Revert to hellfires? Precision must increase if the blast diameter decreases. Sometimes, a Hellfire will not even destroy everything in the blast radius. I am not familiar with other kinds of warheads, but what I see on footage from liveleak.com is a focused blast. A 500 lb bomb is intensely destructive.

Re:Very Tricky but pathbreaking area
The OP is referring to the suspicionless internal DHS (border control) check points.
* http://www.aliciapatterson.org/APF1804/Davidson/Davidson.html
* http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=b92_1231335983I can't find anything official from the DHS website, but the claim seems to be that DHS can legally set up spots away from the border and act as if they are at the border for purposes of questioning and searches.

Re:Proxy
The Iranian government is paying really well for IP addresses.
At $20 a head I got about 200-300 IP's before they realized they were being tracked and tricked by the IT's at the ISP, they run the ISP so they can track down to the address where it is and have jammed all wireless routers with some Russian equiptment they bough. Our IT's will hunt you down.
Long live the IRGC and you will suffer in prison.
We are known as the Basij (secret police no uniforms) and constantly come to bust up apartments we detect lots of communication and anti-government talk.
We come crashing in through your windows and doors to destroy your computers, cell phones and anything else you might use to spread propaganda.

Re:Still Better than Chaney
You are a liar. Bush's "re-election" (his first actual election) was won primarily because they snuck so many anti-equality laws on the ballots. The bigoted wingnuts came out of the woodwork and voted for Bush while they were there.
You mean like when Bush signed the "Defense of Marriage Act"? Oh wait...
Still, I've never heard a Republican say that "Teh GAYS are coming to steal yer marriages!!!!11", and you've had two chances to provide such a link.
I'm going to leave most of the rest alone since you don't understand the definition of a POW, as defined by the Geneva convention and you can only site sources that are shady at best. Salon.com? There's a reliable, fair news source. Still, all Salon talked about was Abu Ghraib, which had nothing to do with Republicans. For that matter, Republicans prosecuted those involved. Wait, how am I the liar again?
Iraq had something, anything to do with 9/11!
I have never heard a Republican say this, yet it keeps getting repeated over and over as if it's true. And what do you know, many of the exceedingly ignorant and borderline retarded believe it.
Liar.
Let's see, from the VERY FIRST SENTENCE of you BBC link:
Mr Bush has never directly accused the former Iraqi leader of having a hand in the attacks on New York and Washington...Uh, I'm sorry, how am I a liar again? You say that Republicans said Iraq had something to do with 9/11, then provide a link that says that they never did. Hmmm. Sounds like your own link proved that one of us is lying here, and evidently, it's not me.
Granted, the rest of the sentence does say that somehow "he has repeatedly associated the two", and then gives a few quotes that really have nothing to do with it. For example, here is a Bush quote from the article:
Iraq continues to flaunt its hostility toward America and to support terror.
Saddam's Iraq paid $20,000 to families of Palestinian suicide bombers. That is what was meant and cited as how Saddam supported terror.
Here's another that is closer, but still no link:
Before 11 September 2001, many in the world believed that Saddam Hussein could be contained. But chemical agents and lethal viruses and shadowy terrorist networks are not easily contained. Imagine those 19 hijackers with other weapons, and other plans - this time armed by Saddam Hussein. It would take just one vial, one canister, one crate slipped into this country to bring a day of horror like none we have ever known.
Hmmm. Still doesn't say Saddam had anything to do with 9-11. Bush is referring to a Russian intelligence report Putin forwarded to Bush:
Russian President Vladimir Putin said yesterday that his intelligence service had warned the Bush administration before the U.S. invasion of Iraq that Saddam Hussein's government was planning attacks against U.S. targets both inside and outside the country.
There are several more quotes about Iraq training and/or harboring terrorists, which were true. Still, nothing that shows that Iraq had anything to with 9-11. For that matter, the BBC and several of sources go out of their way to mention that Bush NEVER said that Iraq had anything to with it. The BBC even says, "US President George W Bush has explicitly stated for the first time that there is no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved in the 11 September attacks." That's kinda the exact opposite of saying that Saddam Hussein was involved in the 9-11 attacks and the exact opposite of what you accuse Republicans of doing... FROM YOUR OWN SOURCE!
The rest of your links are pretty much a joke. Huffington post? Please! That's not a source. It's a blog by CELEBRITIES! Give me a break. The scoop.com link talks about

Re:God, please let this be true.
Is it sufficient to have a handgun?
Or should one rather keep assault rifles in the home?
The US Constitution protects your right to bear arms, but state laws limit exactly what arms you are allowed to bear. Are those laws reasonable? If so, why do they differ?
Let's imagine that you are only interested in defending yourself against an *average* attacker (burglar? car hijacker?) and not, say, a gang of heavily armed bank robbers, aeroplane hijackers, immigration control, or Marvin Heemeyer's bulldozer.
In that case, if the *average* attacker did not have a gun, and you had a reasonably good hospital nearby, your chance of survival would probably be better.

Aussie gov't makes example out of citizen
A video site called Liveleak, that runs a few dozen new videos daily, ran a video of a russian circus family practicing, which involved an adult holding a child by the limbs and tossing/spinning him about. The aussie gov't is prosecuting an aussie for watching the video. Here's the appeal for support for the accused:

Re:Obama
in the hands of the people McCain trusted so much that he felt that less scrutiny and transparency was necessary.
And I suppose the fact that McCain supported S. 109, which called for more regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac back in 2005 slipped your mind? Or perhaps you just forgot about the fact that Democrats blocked the very same bill? Or it might be that Obama received the 3rd most funding from FM and FM of any Senator, coming in behind John Kerry and Chris Dodd? And I'm quite you're neglecting the Clinton-era policies that forced banks to loan to unqualified prospective homeowners simply because they were minorities or from "depressed" areas.
Now that I've refreshed your memory on how things actually happened, I'm sure you'll want to revise your prior comment to better reflect reality. Unless, of course, you prefer being either ignorant or intellectually dishonest.

Re:Big Fricken Whoop De WooThe card can be used to perform a match-on-card (MOC) operation. You put your finger in a reader and it asks the card if it matches. This way you can validate if someone holding the card is REALLY the card owner.
Er
... well, unless it's possible to falsify fingerprints?Of course, newer fingerprint readers are bound to be better than the old ones, and luckily those who may want to 'pretend' to be someone else will give up trying to beat the new readers as soon as they are foiled - they just have no staying power do they!

Re:Nothing new here...
Artillery and mortars and extremely precise weapons (see Phalanx CIWS for an awesome platform) have been an outrageously exact science for quite some time now. For example, the Phalanx CIWS, normally mounted on sea-going vessels, can be put in a Forward Operating Base in the middle of Iraq and hooked up to a special 8cm or so wavelength radar and used to target the rare incoming rocket or mortar.
Video of Israeli testing of the CIWS for mortar shootdown (including slow motion video of the actual mortar round in flight being targeted): http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=b03_1192918961 -

Well, I do tend to purchase clothes from Goodwill as much as I buy clothes new. I also get around by a bicycle and a diesel vehicle. Now, I was using straight used cooking oil and homemade biodiesel, until in 2006 a man in South Carolina was charged with Failure to pay the Fuel Tax for making his own biodiesel... although the fine was suspended because the judge did not want to give the impression that seeking alternative fuel sources was a bad thing. Can't find the article I read back then, but here is a similar link... http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/03/illinois_man_fi.php and a related link http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=d08_1181765099
And I rent. From the home owner.... on their family land. You got me on the tools, but i guess I could spend more time in the barn with the forge and anvil leaning how to be a blacksmith... it's just so damn hot back there.
The horses and pigs supply the manure we use for fertilizer. Good soil here though... in the part of the country where just about everyone grew their own tobacco as their cash crop.
I know we aren't self sufficient. I know I can be if pressed. And I don't see the people in power doing anything to repair the economy. I only see them doing what they can to maintain a status quo for the upper class.
No taxation without representation. It is what the country was started for... among other things. Our current government does not represent me, but I'm paying my taxes none the less. No desire to go to jail and avoid paying taxes that way.

Wow you are a 'Class A' nut case conspiracy theorist, the Bush era have caused you guys finally all to crack and go all out with the wild remarks.
Iran is the reason we are developing the missile shield, which will succeed and the shields will surround the area.
Bush is pretty dumb and we regret the Iraq incident, but Saddam was not innocent either and both sides made their mistakes.
Iraq got pretty dirty after the initial invasion but we have adapted and the casualties are down enormously from what they were before. The 3 main tribal reasons are far harder to control democratically than without the assistance of the AK-47 pointed at their heads.
Plenty of defense measures have been developed because of this war.

It's amazing the variations on mammalian visions - some animals still have four different color receptors (the normal red, green, blue and with the extra one which sees into the ultra-violet range of the electromagnetic spectrum). Insects are able see into the UV range as well as being able to detect polarization of sunlight).

Re:Check Out: FLIGHT DIRECTOR!
This is where it gets spooky. FLIGHT DIRECTOR was used to pilot those planes. There was no other way for them to go where they did - with or without a crew. The perps took REMOTE control of at least 3 jets. WTC 1, 2 and flt 93 (which strayed bigtime and was shot down). They kept waiting for one to hit WTC 7, that never came - so the building was evacuated and brought down anyway. With it went the SEC files on the DOTCON scam, the CIA HQ for NYC and Rudy G's 'CONtrol and Command bunker'. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=49f_1172526096 Remember the 911 (C)ommission report said the one in DC (does not fit the hole) and Shanksville just collaped in on themselves and disappeared. Re:Knee-jerk
Actually, pardon the pun, but you've really put your finger on the antidote to this whole Total Information Awareness thing; what I call "Mirrored Surveillance".
Mirrored Surveillance is not hard to understand - it's about citizens videoing, recording, naming, shaming and outing authority figures trying to violate our singular and collective rights.
Of course 99% of people will never practice Mirrored Surveillance in any form. But fortunately, only a few guys with balls of steel like this character are required to make the point;
