Granted, it's not true forecasting, but you can easily add your data to aggregate with other users at Weather Underground and pull radar data from just about anywhere.

Me? I just like to know what's happening NOW, but it's also pretty handy to know what the temp is in your home "server room".

Tying all this historical data back into longer range forecasts would be fun. I've found TV forecasting to be pretty stale and inaccurate. How many of them have real meteorological degrees anyway?

I've played Quake2 on a modded Xbox via this port. I was able to add the CTF files to it and it worked perfectly, well except for the fact that I was using the xbox controller and found it useless for a fps, I was playing guys on PC's and couldn't turn and aim nearly as fast. I'm not sure if the Q2 CTF files counts as a mod or not, I believe id put them out but I could be wrong.

I would note that we have not significantly improved the sitution of the poor even after decades of wealth distribution. If the situation before and after are pretty much the same and the only difference is that we've increased the debt, what exactly was the point?

Not everyone that works in the defense industry is a "magnate" and the defense industry does provide jobs to MANY engineers that contribute to the tax base as well as lead to technological improvements, both military and otherwise. Military spending is the closest thing this country has to a pure R&D investment in technology.

As such, it is normal to blame the waste and not the needed.

Which is the bigger waste, defending our country or giving money to people that are unproductive? I'd even be willing to subsidize sending poorer people to universities so that they have the opportunity to contribute more to society and the economy. But wealth redistribution? That's a waste of time and money, especially when an organization as inefficient as the government is in charge of it.

Make a site like the Boycott RIAA site and related but identify each legislator, where they stand on the position, and where they voted.

If they used a tactic such as leaving the room when voting time came, to prevent a quorum, or to avoid going on record for the vote, identify that if it is known. Or if not known, list "present" or "absent" votes/non-votes.

You need to get a record of where the legislator stands. Do they support spammers like aol, microsoft, and the other dregs of spamming? Or do they support a spam free in box? Do they support opt in? Or industry's favored opt out? Do they support the federal do not call list? Or can they be quoted as saying that there are better ways of accomplishing the same goal, adopting the marketing companies tactics by avoiding being in opposition of a law that the vast majority of the public favors?

Find out what their voting record is. Find out what their positions are. Then find out what they actually do, do they back up their positions with votes in favor of their positions, or are they looking for cover?

Find out the info. Then out them. Make a site that can be used by voters to make an informed choice on where their legislator stands on the issues.

Then let us know where the site is.

1G/day is really acceptable. If you use a p2p app, it means you get a movie. If you need tools for windows, downloading cygwin is around 800M. If you really want a new linux system, mandrake is around 2G. Personnaly for 2G, i'd wait two days without problems, yet ISP doesnt seems to let us do so (mine is sometimes too slow, in fact).

I'm always wondering how peoples make backups of what they download, 30G/month is +/- what i download each month and if i need over 40 CDs to save the stuff somewhere... aargh (though cd are cheap, but, even in x40 it will take you so much time...), with dvd it still takes you over one hour to save the data.

I dont know for you, but i'm feeling like cdrom are just like the 800k disks we had on the amiga... stupid disks, too small for our needs.

In belgium, with the ISP Skynet, we're limited to 10G/month. When we go over that we're paying a few euros/G.
