Hmmm...
So maybe this was the test run for "fine tuning"? I suppose it's OK to test this on "enemy combatants" even if it has horrific results. Oh well, war is profitable. The beat goes on. Tralalalala.

Don't fall for that bullshit propaganda... Well, I suppose you can. Go believe whatever you want to believe. I suppose if we go by corporate owned and operated media, we should be back to giving up our rights as a top priority, hating and fighting arabs since it's so obvious that they did it and there was an oh so thorough investigation that proves it conclusively. Report your suspicious neighbors to the police, be selfish, hate eachother for stupid unfounded reasons, give up your rights, be happy you have a corporate slave job, don't cry over spilt milk now that your savings have been robbed, and bomb the crap out of those darn pesky terrorists women and children in the middle east. And this is slashdot the realm of the informed. :) Oh well, back to the liberal vs democrat mud-slinging... Oh you commie bastard. -

Search about project northwood. One of the documented items, includes engineering a fake terrorist attack on USA citizens, finding a scapegoat to blame [cuba], in order to justify an invasion [of cuba]. This has big implications for 9/11. And also, I haven't researched, but have read many articles, that British MI5 was caught red-handed multiple times faking IRA bombings.
But the summary here, is "problem, reaction, solution". The government wants to impliment more totalitarian measures. BTW, London supposedly has the most installed surveillence cameras of any city in the world. Now how much protection did that buy them? Anyways, the powers that be, create a problem (fund, arm, recruit, train the terrorists), engineer an attack, immediately have a scapegoat to blame (some new Al Queda cell just appeared out of nowhere with unlimited access to the public transportation system), and then they will offer their solution, probably in the form of the ID cards that were stalling, and other reductions in privacy and citizens rights.
Now, if you want to get into illuminati subjects, symbolism, numerology, etc. This period of July is significant, but I know this stuff is way to out there for slashdot. When it's all about centralizing money and power, we the people are less than dirt, less than slaves. They put on a good public show for us. We think we're free, we think we have constructive input into the system, and some measure of participation. We think they are human, and want to act in the interests of the public... But really, that's naive, they serve money and power. Hating Bush and Blair won't solve anything either. I don't know the answer to the problem, but I'd suggest don't be fooled by theatre, don't give away your power willy nilly on threats because you think you have no say.

The Japanese used US POWs for slave labor
See here.
Google results here
Of course, that's a helluva lot better than the Japanese treated a lot of other prisoners. Just search for "Unit 731" and read tales of vivisection, human medical experimentation, chemical weapons testing on POWs, etc.
At least the Nazis were only really nasty to a few groups - they targeted their atrocities. The Japanese in WWII were equal-opportunity monsters.
And they're still damn near the most downright racist society on the planet. -

Re:No no no!
If someone went back 30 years to Texas and killed George W, then he simply wouldn't have existed now. Time as we know it in this branch of reality would have changed.
Just as if I killed your dog 2 years ago, you wouldn't find yourself dragging an empty leash around (unless you were mentally unstable). Your dog would have died 2 years ago, and your life would have adapted accordingly.
The problem with the idea of changing the past, especially through violence, is that it can be rather disturbing. If you killed George W. 30 years ago, then Salem Bin Laden may not have died in 1988. Many questionable happenings may not have happened.
Ok, but maybe the Bush family would have a vendetta against the killer. Maybe CIA Director George Bush Sr. would have something done about this. Maybe another country would be blamed for this assassination. Maybe your own family (with similiar DNA) would be fingered. Maybe you as a teenager (depending on your current age, obviously) would be convicted of the crime. Maybe the current terrorist laws would have been put into place 30 years earlier because of this.
Someone posed the question to me once, what if you went back in time and killed a key creature in the evolution of a modern species? Like, what if it was the missing link monkey? What if it was the only roach which developed the urge to eat garbage? :) It simply wouldn't exist. What if you introduced bacteria thousands of years more evolved in a prior time? Maybe the bacteria hanging out on your clothes was enough to kill off any more advanced creatures of the more primitive times (i.e., birds, mammals). Is the "fun" of time travel really worth the risk of improving or destroying everything?

Frequent X-Rays = Death + Cancers + Kylies
So they have cranked up the machines to spit out ionising radiation to equalise the control populations cancer rate Vs those coming back from Iraq pissing Du and uranium (and cancers and worse). Those screening doses will be added to the dose you get while flying.
Why is it, your dentist/doctor/xrayist stand back in a corner behind lead glass before zapping you? Because they know. Kylie may have got hers from one of those NEW airport scanners. Its second nature for a x-ray operator to zap that body.
Now dumb ass xrayers, goons, and the others who stand in proximity of this machine for 8 hour shifts. Cleverly designed anti-rad features will richochet rays as they bounce off coins, gold fillings, dentalmongerly or titanium hip or knee replacement jobs.
No wonder they chase off people with radioactivity sensor and buttons, lest the truth get out. Bet they won't have a sign saying what your 'dose' is.
http://www.rense.com/general41/airporttravelerstog et.htm
It is quite possible, the extra deaths from cancers because of this screening equipment will exceed the risk of something happening on the plane. So the question is - is it safe for women?

Re:can you IMAGINE this happening in modern Americ
Oh give me a break. Unions are the crippling factor in modern America. Witness the effect. The way I see it, if the union workers don't want to work, but someone else does -- hire the guy that wants to work. I am the one -- along with all other consumers -- that have to pay those union workers' wages when they don't work. And that pisses me off.

RFID chips in IDs:
From TFA:
The Real ID Act says federally accepted ID cards must be "machine readable," and lets Homeland Security determine the details. That could end up being a magnetic strip, enhanced bar code, or radio frequency identification (RFID) chips.
In the past, Homeland Security has indicated it likes the concept of RFID chips. The State Department is already going to be embedding RFID devices in passports, and Homeland Security wants to issue RFID-outfitted IDs to foreign visitors who enter the country at the Mexican and Canadian borders. The agency plans to start a yearlong test of the technology in July at checkpoints in Arizona, New York and Washington state.
Looks like devices like these are going to become very popular very soon...
Also, devices like these could be used to really complicate the lives of people you dislike...

How about Electricity?!
The article talks about dark matter and energy in the same breath as lensing, computer sifting, etc., I don't know if what they are saying can actually then be correct. Re:Drinkin' the koolaid
Ironically the people who suffer the most in the US are those making between like $15-$40k/yr, especially families. Medicaid doesn't cover people who make too much, and insurance is not affordable for all.
The other trend is the discontinuation of medical insurance programs by various companies. Fewer employees get insurance, and those who do get it pay more than ever before. Benefits may be reduced even. Furthermore with the disappearance of the manufacturing sector, many people are getting jobs at much lower pay scales than before. That is someone who used to make $60,000 as a Boeing employee is now making $11.43/hr as a private security guard. These situations are becoming more and more common.
Of course you got yours, congrats. That was always the motto in the 80s, right? I got mine, you get yours too? Of course the big deal was that the economy wasn't a 0 sum game. In the end the economy isnt entirely a 0 sum game, but there isn't as much slack as we all hoped and thought, no?
Of course considering the average wage in the US is not that high, I think like $45k (you're only making 2.2x the average, so your experience is not really typical is it?). For an alternative explanation see this. -

Was that bird shot down. . ?Ah, the Columbia disaster. .
.
Foam tiling, or shot down? I've visited this question before, and I did a very half-assed job of presenting the 'Shot down' argument at the time. Since then, I've put various ducks in a row and rather than working from faulty memory, did the proper research. So here we go again. . .
1. NASA public relations and the media presented a very tight argument for falling insulation damage being the culprit in the Columbia disaster. --Historical evidence was presented from the NASA archives purporting that previous missions of both the Columbia and other shuttles had shown some limited damage to heat tiles resulting from foam insulation falling from the fuel tanks. The speculation and arguments were that a larger piece of foam striking in a certain way could cause a critical failure of the heat shielding.
2. Despite the recommendation by NASA engineers during the mission that the foam insulation strike in question did not pose a problem and that the mission was in no danger, the conclusion was reversed after the disaster and subsequent investigation.
3. In doing follow-up on this whole story, I ran across this curious item about a photographer who was shooting the Columbia as it first started to break up. He captured an image of an energy bolt striking the Columbia followed by a series of pictures showing a flash and the break-up.
This is a follow up on that story.
The photographer was an electrical engineer who works for Sparks defense contractor Sierra Nevada Corp. He was at the time also a volunteer at the Fleischmann Planetarium at the University of Nevada, Reno. He captured his images of the shuttle from the Fleischmann facility.
This is a brief description of his video according to an article in the RENO GAZETTE-JOURNAL;Peering up at the southern sky, he caught what appears to be some sort of explosion as Columbia re-entered the Earth's atmosphere. He did not realize that he might have caught the first visual evidence of trouble aboard the space shuttle until he went back inside and watched the tape on his big-screen television. Moments later, he watched the National Aeronautics and Space Administration television channel and realized the shuttle was gone.
There is no mention of the energy strike in this article; the reason I included it here was in part to show the value of his film. If you read the article, you can see that NASA sent a letter thanking him for what were considered to be valuable images which indeed showed the earliest stages of the break-up. --This article also seems important to me because these were apparently the images which came directly after the first frame which showed an energy bolt striking the shuttle. Why the energy bolt was not mentioned at all in the article seems very curious to me.
Here is the first photo showing the energy bolt.
So anyway. . . What we have right now are two stories. The first is the big media story which broadcast the NASA claims regarding the incident; a piece of foam caused damage to heat tiles, which in turn resulted in a critical failure.
The second story is one which comes from two sources; a channeled source claiming an energy weapon was used to shoot down the Columbia, and a photograph of an energy bolt actually striking the shuttle just before it broke up.
So which is more likely. . ?
One:The U.S. Government can be counted on to not fabricate stories, and that NASA's own engineers who originally said the foam strike did -

But life is cheap in the USAThe current administration is more than willing casually to pour treasure and blood into the sands of Iraq and Afghanistan. The equivalent of how many shuttles and crews so far? Dozens? Hundreds?
So why be so precious about one more dangerous mission? If it fails, there won't even be television cameras allowed into Dover AFB to witness the coffins coming home.
Of the fourteen points that Dr. Lawrence Britt uses to define fascism, this is pretty well summed up by numbers 4 and 11.

What You Didn't Know About Taxes & The 'Crown'
By Mark Owen
2-17-5
There are two Crowns operant in England, one being Queen Elizabeth II. Although extremely wealthy, the Queen functions largely in a ceremonial capacity and serves to deflect attention away from the other Crown, who issues her marching orders through their control of the English Parliament. This other Crown is comprised of a committee of 12 banks headed by the Bank of England (House of Rothschild). They rule the world from the 677-acre, independent sovereign state known as The City of London, or simply 'The City.'
The City is not a part of England, just as Washington is not a part of the USA. The City is referred to as the wealthiest square mile on earth and is presided over by a Lord Mayor who is appointed annually. When the Queen wishes to conduct business within the City, she is met by the Lord Mayor at Temple (Templar) Bar where she requests permission to enter this private, sovereign state. She then proceeds into the City walking several paces behind the Mayor. Her entourage may not be clothed in anything other than service uniforms.
In the nineteenth century, 90% of the world's trade was carried by British ships controlled by the Crown. The other 10% of ships had to pay commissions to the Crown simply for the privilege of using the world's oceans.
The Crown reaped billions in profits while operating under the protection of the British armed forces. This was not British commerce or British wealth, but the Crown's commerce and the Crown's wealth. As of 1850, author Frederick Morton estimated the Rothschild fortune to be in excess of $10 billion. Today, the bonded indebtedness of the world is held by the Crown.
The aforementioned Temple Bar is the juristic arm of the Crown and holds an exclusive monopoly on global legal fraud through their Bar Association franchises. The Temple Bar is comprised of four Inns of Court. They are; the Middle Temple, Inner Temple, Lincoln's Inn and Gray's Inn. The entry point to these closed secret societies is only to be found when one is called to their Bar.
The Bar attorneys in the United States owe their allegiance and pledge their oaths to the Crown. All Bar Associations throughout the world are signatories and franchises to the International Bar Association located at the Inns of Court of the Crown Temple.
The Inner Temple holds the legal system franchise by license that bleeds Canada and Great Britain white, while the Middle Temple has license to steal from America. To have the Declaration of Independence recognized internationally, Middle Templar King George III agreed in the Treaty of Paris of 1783 to establish the legal Crown entity of the incorporated United States, referred to internally as the Crown Temple States (Colonies). States spelled with a capital letter 'S,' denotes a legal entity of the Crown.
At least five Templar Bar Attorneys under solemn oath to the Crown, signed the American Declaration of Independence. This means that both parties were agents of the Crown. There is no lawful effect when a party signs as both the first and second parties. The Declaration was simply an internal memo circulating among private members of the Crown. Most Americans believe that they own their own land, but they have merely purchased real estate by contract. Upon fulfillment of the contract, control of the land is transferred by Warranty Deed. The Warranty Deed is only a 'color of title.' Color of Title is a semblance or appearance of title, but not title in fact or in law. The Warranty Deed cannot stand against the Land Patent.
The Crown was granted Land Patents in North America by the King of England. Colonials rebelled at the usurious Crown taxes, and thus the Declaration of Independence was created to pacif -

North Korea will never give up their nukesI do not think North Korea will ever give up their nukes. Countries have stopped their pursuit of nuclear weapons technology in the past, but have any of them stopped after already building nuclear weapons? Not that I'm aware of. Why should they? Nuclear weapons demand respect, pure and simple. Owning them is the best deterrent against being invaded and everybody knows it. In North Korea's case, that deterrent is even more pronounced considering that total war is their declared strategy to counter a US preemptive attack, using both massive conventional warfare and weapons of mass destruction.
North Korea's military capability is extremely strong, and some analysts think they are one of the few nations that could conceivably engage in a total, all-out war with the United States. They have both the military strength and the political will.
An assessment of their military capabilities can be found here, although I think its estimate of North Korea already having 100 nuclear warheads is probably exaggerated. Not that anybody knows for sure. North Korea is one of the most secretive nations on the planet.

Earthquake Machine
Believe it or not, a lot of conspiracy theorists are convinced that HAARP is, aside from the obvious application of mass mind control, a weapon for creating earthquakes.
Try a google search with "haarp" and "earthquake", or even "tsunami" (or read through rense.com for long enough) and you'll find plenty of comments about all of the sneaky applications, but seldom even an attempt to explain how it works. I've tried but been unable to figure out how, of all things, they've concluded that HAARP is for generating earthquakes. I could understand why they would suspect mind control or a cancer weapon, given that it's basically a big radio antenna, but earthquakes?
On an even funnier note, I've come across blogs discussing building a house with aluminum foil inside the walls so you don't have to wear your tin foil hat indoors. They actually seemed serious. -

Lots of them, here and here.
The 12% number is off, but the 25% number is correct. The US does have the largest prison population in the world, both as an absolute number and in percentage terms. More than China and Russia, and 5 to 8 times the rates of Canada and Western European countries. And a lot of people are there for nonviolent drug offenses, including this 25-year-old who's going to be in prison until age 81, with no chance of parole.
I wish this insanity would stop, although I don't hold out much hope at the rate things are going. -

A lesson
The reaction to this earthquake and the resultant tsunami should be taken a practice run for the eventual small asteroid strike that will undoubtedly cause similar results. Our rush to aid fellow men in their time of need will hopefully be returned to us one day when we face the same. Or will they just turn their backs and look the other way?
So far under $100 million in aid has been pledged by various countries to help in a disaster that has ruined $billions and killed dozens of thousands of people. Is that good enough? -

As practically a deathbed speech, he educated me about those concepts and who the players were in this game. He gave me the responsibility, since he was dying, of continuing this effort to prevent the weaponization of outer space.
When Wernher Von Braun was dying of cancer, he asked me to be his spokesperson, to appear on occasions when he was too ill to speak. I did this. What was most interesting to me was a repetitive sentence that he said to me over and over again during the approximately four years that I had the opportunity to work with him.
He said the strategy that was being used to educate the public and decision makers was to use scare tactics That was how we identify an enemy. The strategy that Wernher Von Braun taught me was that first the Russians are going to be considered to be the enemy. In fact, in 1974, they were the enemy, the identified enemy. We were told that they had "killer satellites". We were told that they were coming to get us and control us-that they were "Commies."
Then terrorists would be identified, and that was soon to follow. We heard a lot about terrorism. Then we were going to identify third-world country "crazies." We now call them Nations of Concern. But he said that would be the third enemy against whom we would build space-based weapons.
The next enemy was asteroids. Now, at this point he kind of chuckled the first time he said it.
Asteroids- against asteroids we are going to build space-based weapons.
And the funniest one of all was what he called aliens, extraterrestrials. That would be the final scare. And over and over and over during the four years that I knew him and was giving speeches for him, he would bring up that last card.
"And remember Carol, the last card is the alien card. We are going to have to build space-based weapons against aliens and all of it is a lie."
I think I was too naive at that time to know the seriousness of the nature of the spin that was being put on the system. And now, the pieces are starting to fall into place. We are building a space-based weapons system on a premise that is a lie, a spin. Wernher Von Braun was trying to hint that to me back in the early 70's and right up until the moment when he died in 1977.

As practically a deathbed speech, he educated me about those concepts and who the players were in this game. He gave me the responsibility, since he was dying, of continuing this effort to prevent the weaponization of outer space.

Right here.

Alice Springs! Pine Gap! oh god, it's started...
Something has gone horribly wrong with the joint NSA/Aussie venture working with aliens from outer space in their secret Pine Gap research base. The interplanetary war has begun, started by agents of the United States Government. I, for one, am going to lay in a supply of iodine tablets and pure drinking water in anticipation of the fallout that is sure to come after we attempt to nuke their orbiting stealth battle platforms.

Re:Dow-chem chairman Warren Anderson
Im very surprised that noone has replied to you yet on this matter, but the gas and bio weapons Saddam used in 1991/1992 against the Kurds was purchased from the US and the UK in the 1980s, including the ability to produce more of them. Yes, the vast majority of WMD that we are looking for in Iraq are tehre because we sold them to Iraq. It is true that Germany and France also took part, as did Russia and China, but for the 1980s WMD were commonly traded arms, and the US was one of the biggest traders in them.

I know CONDI!Here she is!
On a serious note:
We want to emphasize from the start that we may prove wrong on this assertion, but we firmly believe that the relationship between President Bush and Condoleezza Rice as one in pursuit of an agenda to undermine the United States of America to wit: to help allow the President to be complicit with regard to 9-11 without showing any consciousness of guilt with regard thereto. Therefore please permit us to explain this vital proposition because it is essential to understand to help prove the putative wrongdoing.

Re:Oh so scary
I stand corrected. You are correct it was apparently done via EPA regulation and it appears the oil companies did in fact lobby to put it in there in the first place though now they deny it. It was either Ethanol or MTBE, Ethanol presumably being much the better of the two but the oil companies got the EPA to do MTBE. And yes it is a toxic byproduct of gasoline refining they had to dispose of before. Now they just dump it in your gas tank though 16 states of outlawed it.
It is yet another slimy example of corporations wagging the dog.
Billy Tauzin(R Louisiana) appears to be spearheading the campaign to get the oil companies immunity from the devastation its causing, and you can't find a slimier congressman than him today. He also spearheaded Medicare Reform which is nothing but a giant transfer of tax dollars to drug and healthcare companies. He was supposedly retiring and taking a 2.5 million dollar consulting job with the drug lobby as payola for the Medicare bill. I think his probably equally corrupt son was trying to take his place though I didn't see if he won. There something about Louisiana politicians and corruption. -

Where's the part where Bush did business with the Nazis? or Prescott helped Hitler rise to power?

Checks out Rense for the latest on vote fraud accusations. Do democrats do vote fraud too? Sure they do. Both major parties are fundamentally corrupt and that is why we need to decentralize political power. I would enjoy seeing your references on Dem Vote fraud.
