Re:What site is this again?
It is one of those new-fangled words the youth use. See: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=yo
Now, keep it down over there or I'll call the cops.

Re:A smell, sure...
But does it has a flavor?
That's easy. The space air, it tastes like schnozberries.
-
Re:damn it
Sure it does. That's why the founding fathers invented rule 34.

Re:This is brilliant
Right. People ride trains at train speeds. And riding in planes are done at plane speeds. It's all totally different, see?
Or maybe we're talking about some other or different kind of train.

Re:Natalie Portman
I barely missed the first one a couple of times although I have only heard good things about it.
My sig is actually a reference to an old Slashdot meme (hot grits), which has mutated over time to include Natalie Portman and "naked and petrified". I also reference the command line found in SCUMM games.
Wikipedia mentions this and the Urban Dictionary gives a more detailed backstory. -

Dunno that doesn't look that bad to me.
How about this:

Re:something to say != something relevant
It sounds like you're unfamiliar with Wikipedia's notability guidelines. They're clearly spelled out here. If you read a deletion debate, you'll find that it's this guideline being used to judge articles.
You call those guidelines clearly spelled out? I see a list of subjective Unspeak open to liberal interpretation by whichever deletionist admin takes exception to the article in question. These guidelines are an excuse, and nothing more. A lip service paid to objections. A thought-terminating cliché.
Want an example? The wikipedia article on "Omnislashing" was deleted. I asked the person responsible to reconsider what could politely be called a Faux pas, and not so politely called a WFT?! Long story short, he brushed me off with a Reliable Sources line. Reliable sources? For Omnislashing?! Who are these people!?
I'm sure that if I pushed the point, he would have carted out notability guidelines and other WP:BLLSHT regulations designed only to stall me until I lose interest and he gets what he wants, which is that article off the site. What's the point?
-
Re:A cat is no trade for integrity.
-
Re:political interests?!
Fair enough. I did actually draw it from the "when I was a young lad..." (misquoted) sounds American, and Australian apparently. My next assumption is that you still have not read the article.
Since you are around, what is a Seppo?
Nevermind
seppo
Slang for Americans - as septic tank rhymes with yank, but Americans are also full of shit like septic tanks
Nice
And here I thought that Ostriches came from Africa -
Re:electric cars
My biggest problem with the Volt is that it's damn ugly. Sort of reminiscent of muscle cars, which I despise.
I was kind of like a motor head and love muscle cars. A friend's dad had a '68 or '69 Grand Prix he put a big block 350ci with bored out cylinders into. We'd hop into it and cruise to a shooting range at 120 mph where we target practiced. I loved that car, and shooting. My problem with them is that they're gas guzzlers. Though I love racing I have the same problem with race cars. But at least those can be used to test new ideas, whether to improve efficiency or safety.
All I ask for, from any company, is a plug-in hybrid Cabriolet or Roadster.
I'd rather have a cigarette boat with a Tesla like motor.

What! Where's Vega. I've been in WoW for some time, and I've never met anybody from there?

How is it a forced contract? You don't HAVE to click OK, you can click cancel. And you don't HAVE to use their products. That is the negotiation.
Right. However in his defence it's sort of like sex with a moped. You know about the consequenses--but for the moment you just don't care.

Re:Slow News Day
Nice. So now The Stranger is the Invisible Man?
-
Re:stereotype day
Speaking of "fashions these days," the phrase "hitting on" can be defined as: Flirting with another person beyond a general acceptance of friendship.
Perhaps you were thinking of "hating on" the Russians? As in, when one puts down the success or fortune of others due to jealousy. I think you'll find this slang more fitting.
And to add to your list of deployment requirements: a service provider who won't shut you down if you host or link to these tools, which might eliminate many English speaking countries, or simply make Russia more promising. Or maybe I'm just stereotyping the image of Russia having a lax response to ethics and business concerns.

Try Urban Dicationary.

Re:Well then...
Hrm. Wikipedia or OED. That's a difficult one...(sarcasm).
Well, no. Given that the word "atheist" itself contains the meaning "non-theism", it's obvious that Wikipedia got it right. Here's the urban dictionary and the wiktionary.
As far as I can tell, only religious nuts pretend that atheism is some kind of belief system. Why they do that I don't quite understand; seems to me trying to denounce somebody else by pretending that they believe something when you yourself define yourself through your faith is borderline insane.

Re:Chick?I'd like to point out I'm not trying to be a dick here, but I wouldn't consider the Urban Dictionary a reliable source for definitions. It can be useful to some degree, but sometimes it can be off target. See definition 2 under sassafras
(the word sassafras comes from sassy? sure).Anyway, I live in Australia, and I felt the use of the word "chick" was, in this context, a bit disrespectful. I agree that it can often be used in a friendly way (and I've used it often), but it just seemed flippant and inappropriate in this instance.
Would everyone be OK with calling her a "Science Sheila", or a "Brainy Broad"? -
Re:Makes me sad, really.
Might have something to do with the other meaning of DVDA
-
Re:Chick?
Um... Wow. the dictionary was written by old people.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=chick. Notice the VERY FIRST DEFINITION. Australia? Ya think maybe?
1. chick (643 up, 161 down)
The nicest way to refer to any female. Used respectfully like this in Australia. A completely non-derrogatory comment, that in general (most chick's I've talked to) is non-offensive to women and better than most alternative's.
"What are the chick's doing tonight?"
2. chick (380 up, 70 down)
n. A girl.
Chick is not necessarily derogatory, however many women find it offensive because of its flippant nature.
"Did you see that chick? She waved at me."
3. chick (225 up, 45 down)
n. girl, woman
Actually a non-derogatory slang term for the word girl. This word was probably a spanglish derivative from the spanish word "chica" meaning, of all things, girl.
"Hey man, these computer show chicks are hot!"
4. chick (164 up, 53 down)
Just another slang for girl or woman.
"Don't call chicks broads."
5. chick (135 up, 75 down)
*A beautiful woman.
*Any type of woman.
"I met this one chick the other night....man she was ugly!"
6. chick (82 up, 43 down)
A loose term used to describe a girl, usually a cute girl. Rarely ever used to describe a baby chicken. A baby chicken is just... a baby chicken. So, Chick=(cute)girl.
Brad:Angelina's is such a nice chick
Matt: You already have a cute chick.
or...
Chad:Cute chicks, man!
George:Are you talking about the baby chickens or that girl over there?
Chad:The chickens
noun synonym:girl chic chiek tjick
7. chick (37 up, 65 down)
1)A baby chicken
2)A slang term for 'woman' used by usually sexist males
1)Aw, look at the cute little chick, with its fuzzy yellow feathers!
2)Damn, that chick's gotta nice rack...
The vast majority of the definitions/votes indicated that it was NOT derogatory.

Re:What?
Interestingly enough, Chewbacca does not in fact actually live on Endor - though early drafts of Return of the Jedi did have the forest moon of Endor populated by Wookiees rather than Ewoks. This claim may have been an error, or may simply have been a culturally savvy intentional mis-statement by the authors.
Woosh... Read more about it here.

Ignore the idiot
Just like momma always said when your younger siblings were bothering you, and just like Rule 14 states, you should ignore these idiots. They only want attention and will eventually go away if ignored. Other forum users should be smart enough to ignore them as well.

the 'boom' wasn't an explosion, besides I've seen a thermite loaded laptop go off, in video with audio, it's a lot like a very large firework, hissing with a big gout of flame. the boom was just slang, because the data will be destroyed in a very entertaining way.
you should read up more on slang, since you assume boom means explosion, 'bang' means explosion. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=boom
