    I doubt the price will ever do so, at least in primary retail outlets. I'm sure MS will release "Value Packs" with 1 or 2 games to try and justify prolonging the initial retail price.

    When we do see a $200 dollar version (that isn't crippled, aka no HD) it'd have to be a serious reason for it, and those reasons are never good.

    I remember hanging out the WOW beta boards back before Beta actually went live. They thought it would be a good idea to award "fansites" with 3 slots apeice to give away in addition to getting the random 1000 or so players. Bad Idea. Lots of fansites kept the 3 slots for themselves, and as far as Blizzard was concerned, tough noogies. The worst ones were the fansites who paid lip service to the idea of a giveaway, yet just gave the slots away to friends or hell, just lied about it.

    Sufficed to say, we all predicted that Blizzard would never be able to hold a problem-free contest. We haven't been proven wrong yet. I've left the game long ago, mainly because of other issues (last 2 semesters in college)

    Demo's are also a huge plus for the PC. Nothing like tasting the latest and greatest game before you buy it.

    With Consoles, you have to pay 7 bucks a rental or 15 bucks a month to "preview" a game, and there's the chance it won't be available.

    Whenever I think of blog, I think of some hypersensitive techie with his journal, maybe some comments listed.

    When I think of Newslog, I think of news stories posted, and comments. (Slashdot, K5, Fark, etc)

    But people are lazy, and generally don't care about my pet peeves as much as me.

    Console manufacturers selling systems without basic essentials like memory cards or a second controller, so you have to shell out another 60 bucks before you can see so much as a hair on Luigi's mustache.

    It'd be great if they included all that sort of thing in with the game console, except 1. Lots of people don't need it, and 2. It'd make the console package cost more!

    Also, If your number 1 audience enjoys things that turn off women in gaming, f-them! No offense to the kind women gamers, but to some of us perverts out there, there's no such thing as too much cleavage, anywhere.

    Whats with number 4, Sega's failure? How does that have anything to do with anything?

    As for Ajax, its good for killing ants, last time I heard..

    And I doubt Web apps are going to make anyone choose an OS, its up to the OS to be easy to use, and easy to setup and maintain.

    The funny part of this whole rant is, Scifi is showing BSG and FF before and after the two shows you find offensive.

    Thats right, FF at 7 and BSG at 10. Sure, nothing new, I guess, but still humorous to me.

    I'm going to watch it all. Most TV is crap, fridays especially.

    Nowadays, the only thing we civvies can do with weapons is cap each other. Better to not be doing that.

    Except:

    1. Wild animals that encroach on human developments (or humans that encroach on animal habitats). Guns are the difference between you living and dying, quite frankly.

    2. With a ban on guns, you'll have them readily available to anyone who wants to become a criminal. Honest Joe? He's got to come to a gun fight with a tazer or knife. He's probably not going to win.

    Blood splatter and all from that sniper bullet.

    They can do the series some justice, if not most of it.

    It still wont make the ending any more understandable though.
