This is just a blatant lie. Check the facts. Who moderated this as interesting? The closest state might be Indiana. They have a Springfield and Shelbyville there, but not much in the name of landmarks from the cartoon.
Don't you think that we need to go after the companies that hire these spammers in the first place? I mean, if it wasn't for those companies that crave the attention from the 10 or so people that might actually click on the junk email, the companies would not have any reason to hire spammers to send massive emails, and thus no spam?
I disagree with the above poster...I have not had a ticket or an accident in over 5 years. The two times I was in an accident was when I was had made the wrong judgement in rush hour traffic, not because I was speeding. Yes, I am the one you will see me zoom by you at 80-90 mph on 285. That's because for people like me, who are trying to get somewhere and fast, there are soo many slow drivers that just drive like they have all the time in the world....keeping a 10 car distance or something, and watching the accident that is the far right corner, even if they have no business blocking others behind them.
I would think that you wouldn't want any discount or have it be free for that matter....Rememeber, if they pay for it, they will want to control most aspects of the game. So what if they player stops to drink a can of Pepsi and starts talking about the product for a few mins. Then, there is the issue of constant tracking of the players. Would this make for a good game play? I would much rather pay for my games, if it means keeping the ads out of it.
Yes, that would be the ideal thing to do in a perfect world, but we live in a world driven by money and politics. So, anyone that has any connections, either politically or financially is the one that will win. The only loser will be the poor shmuck that invented something revolutionary, but just didn't patent it for whatever reason. *** Long live capitalism.***
Only 28 out of 56? That's barely two thirds, or only 45%! (And I've heard similar awful things about the quality of our mathematics education!)
Yeah, we are poor in mathematics. You dumbass, 28 out of 56 is 50%, not 45%.
In the world of online games and web registration, this is a company that sees itself going out of business soon, unless they come up with something that causes a stir and keeps the masses talking for atleast sometime. Whether it works or not is a whole other matter. IMHO
I sent it to the president & CEO of IBM (where I was working at the time), and my VP and a whole lot of other executives and co-workers. I was only fortunate that the guy that had the authority to fire me was on vacation at the time. oh. the stupidity
They saw SunOne and most of the Java IDE's being given away. So, to capture the user base and tie them down to Windows, they are now goign to give it away. Anyone ever notice that this "Express" is for home users only?
wouldn't speed humps be worse, especially when you are driving so fast. you may 'fly' into the air and may...wait...that way hopefully you can actually pass the redlight. that's a great idea.:-)
The article was very skimpy on the details. Where were these tests done. How many people were tested. What kind of noise was it? There is noise pollution everywhere now-a-days. So, even if this comes as a surprise, trains are a great means of transportation, and seeing that the maglev is fast, there have to be more tests done before anything is concluded.
This is just a ploy to make them look like they are contributing to OSS and to get people to work for them for free. In the end, it only benifits Microsoft. How is this truly OpenSource?
Too bad the article does not talk about any youths reading books now-a-days. Is this really true. Are video games and porn really taking over their lives that much?
Google is the best of all these, and besides, most people don't really care for what search engine provides what. I would think they go to all these engines looking for the best prices and go the store to look at the actual product also. So, all this competition is pointless seeing that google will come out on top.
Once Microsoft decides to send everyone for a MS certification and some free software, I am sure all memberstates will change their mind, just like www.mikerowesoft.com. Remember that, anyone?
This is nothing but a big marketing scam. Imagine. He now has a bunch of computer geeks going to his website. What more could you ask for? It's crazy for Tom's Hardware to do anykind of investigation. What next, the Nigerian scam because they use computers supplied by MichealsComputers.com to send massive amounts of emails?
"Based on an overall response we receive from governments," Hodson said, "we may look at doing things differently the next time."
Maybe next time, all ppl receiving the software will be asked to fill a survey where they "opt in" automatically to receive the software. That will put the blame squarely on the individual receiving the software and off M$.
For this to help in any big way, it needs to come preinstalled in new cars. Even then, since, most people that have already bought/own cars may not be willing to get this extra feature, no matter how helpful it may be (see Navigation Systems), I wonder how many lives it will really save.
Screw corporate responsibility in this case. I just don't think the govt has the right to become my "big brother". Instead, go after ppl that actually commit the crime.
It seemed to me that it was not just about Presidentail campaigns. There were ppl I never heard of, running for all sorts of govt. positions. That's what I was trying to point out.

But how do you remove the virus called WindowsXP that you installed youself? :-)
Now with Real Apples and improved taste. (Only 10% actual content). * Based on a 2000 song diet.
This is just another way to have more pileups on the interstate. Why can't people toss all these things in the back and focus on driving?

He should have taken the first offer of $10. Atleast, that would have been worth something rather than the crap he got.

or are there more democrats for sale than republicans?
