I would just like to point out that George Lucas already had a giant ego before he got big. In fact, it most definately played a very large part in how he got "big".
Let's not confuse "having balls" and "being a dick". Dave Callaham has balls. He had an idea, and he sold it. If the studios are being dicks for tearing it appart and disappointing you in the process, it's not his problem.
He still has the balls to stand up for himself and tell you what's what. But obviously, you and many others still feel compelled to be dicks about it...
It would probably be typed up, but it might look something like this

It might be a bit of a challenge to decipher for most of us, but for these highly trained legal experts I'm sure it's nothing.
If you dig through your steam directory, you can find an actual half life 2 executable that will save you a couple of clicks when you start the game. It'll still load Steam though as you will find out when you exit the game.
As far as the background story goes, don't worry, playing HL1 doesn't really help much. Half LIfe 2 is a wonderful game with cutting edge gameplay, but the plot is almost non-existant, and nothing is explained by the time you reach the ending.
Sure, to some Porsche owners it's "just a car", but on the other hand, they still are concious of the fact that it's a Porsche, even when driving it to the store.
I think this calls for another "fucking mac snobs..."
I'm a mac user and I certainly don't see my laptop as the porsche of all laptops. I have just as much respect and care for my pc box. Different tools for different tasks. Nice tools yes, pretty tools yes, makes an owner proud yes, but still tools.
Some people think that they're somehow superior to others simply because they use a popular brand, it's nothing new. The porsche is a great example of putting form before function. The only advantage your porsche has over my toyota is good looks (and don't tell me it's speed because you can't realistically take advantage of that in everyday situations)... and I really don't see macs that way. I think they deserve a little more credit than that, no?
I've been disconnected from the demoscene for a few years now, but this is how I got introduced to music composition. I completed two albums with tracked music before switching to midi.
So I clicked the link, and what do you know? One of my old tunes is in the list, ripped off by "Dj Distance" ("the guiding light"...I was 17, and quite the poet already).
Not really worth ripping in my opinion... Some nice parts, but clumsy drum track and... well. Fond memories nonetheless.
There IS actually an official trilogy that follows the events of the OT. The books were written by Timothy Zahn and are quite excellent, the best you can find in the expanded universe in my opinion.
Of course it was "official" when I read it, but that was almost ten years ago, so who knows.
It most likely has more to do with broadband penetration as the poster suggests.
The cost of a high-speed connection is generally much higher in Europe than in North America, and if a lot of people can justify these costs for their professional needs, the number of people who will be willing to spend that much money for such a restricted form of gaming (relatively speaking... when you compare to online gaming on PC) is probably very low.

This movie is going to be so hilariously bad, I'm already laughing.
In Soviet Russia, cheaters ban you.
Take it easy, I was only kidding.
Slasdot?
Oooh, and you were doing so well with your commentary on (im)proper SPELLING.

Slashdot readers might, it could be their only chance.

The stuff is out there.
All you need to do is create the space. We will fill it. That's what geeks are for.
Kazaa lite is available on eDonkey.
So why did green take over? Is green dye just cheaper or is there a technical reason behind it?
Thanks for that link.

Thanks!
You can see the current cloud.
Now you see it, now you don't...
Because deep down inside, we are all just like the Comic Book Guy.
And that, my nerdy friend, is precisely why the world doesn't give a damn whether we like these movies or not.

Sadly it probably makes sense to 3D Realms, too.
O Duke, where art thou? If you prick us, do we not bleed?
So not only am I paying top dollars to fly to europe, now I'm going to have to pedal for 8 hours too? Great.
Nerd! ;)
Come on he's a kid with a passion, cut him some slack.
Because then people would never buy an extra battery "just in case". It'd be bad business...
Mmmmmh.... this whole thing smells too much like the ink cartridge "scam" to me.
Updated every two minutes. Sort of.
Here. Exciting stuff
Another difference is the drop shadow. Unfocused windows have a thinner drop shadow.
And like all good dealers, he makes you pay top dollars for it.
