Actually, the GBA has emulators (pogoshell) which you only need a flash cart and USB cable to transfer games over. I've been playing the NES version of FF1 on my Game Boy for quite a while. It's the only way I was able to get through some boring lecture classes.
Google for Flash Advance for the cart, and Pogoshell for the OS (of sorts)
Obviously this project will need something that allows fast access and data transfer. I would recommend setting a webserver on the missle that would be able to interact with the controlling machine through a java interface. Putting an 802.11a wireless interface on the missle would probably be the best idea so that you would have a large enough area to access the missle.
Yet still, if the "only OS that people want" is Windows, they why would they still put the EULA up there with the option to click "I do not agree." Couldn't the end user just click no and send the thing back to MS for a refund?
There's been a recent flush of emulators for the Game Boy Advance. 128, and 256 MB Flash carts can be bought (from China) that hook into your pc via USB and can download games, be they GB(A), NES, or Genesis, as I've played them all. I would assume that is what this patent is all about. (Google for "PogoShell" and you can see the OS)
Pogoshell also does choose which emulator to run, but it is based on extension instead of raw file input, but i could be wrong on this.
Did you try xine with all win32 codecs? WMV's generally work for me there. And build it yourself instead of getting a binary package, that may help as well.
Sort of reminds me of something that happened around here. I don't know if this is just a regional thing or not, but a gas station chain's convenience store part of the store is called "Tobacco Road." With some new law that was passed tv commercials were not allowed to advertise any tobacco products. So what did tobacco road do? They simply said "Tobacco Road. We can't advertise what we sell, so we will show you ____ [insert random 50's B&W short TV clip]." And at the end, "Tobacco Road. Gas and cheap prices on stuff we can't mention here." It was all quite humorous.
Agreed in full. You might also like to mention that the cheap college gamers like to use cheap linux boxes for servers. All you need is a cheap router and then do a min install linux system, and you got a nice server. Well, that, and the ability to take advantage of a T3 for pretty much only the cost of a router, and you got yourself a nice rig.
Except, i wouldn't recommend guayaki, it sometimes has a plastic taste to me. Anything from Las marias (taragui is my favorite) is better.
Yerba Mate (usually just called mate and pronounced with a long a at the end instead of rhyming with hate) is the national drink of Argentina. It contains no caffeine and energized you but also calms you. I've been drinking it for a while now. Highly recommend as a coffee alternative. Google for a bit and you'll find tons of sites selling it.
If you've ever used RedHat, their up2date program acts almost exactly like windows update. It even upgrades your kernel for you without ever mocking you.:) Other distributions have very similar updating programs as well. I know you're only trolling, but i felt like giving you a real response.
I agree. Enemy Territory is an excellent FPS. It's free, and downloadable in windows or linux binaries.
Here's a link. Just click on the enemy territory link up at the top and you'll get a list of download sites.
And it should definitely run on the pc's that you have. Here's the min requirements from happypenguin.org:
Additional System Requirements:
>a computer running Linux x86 (kernel >= 2.2 - 2.4 recommended, glibc >= 2.1 - 2.3 recommended)
>Running a recent and mainstream distribution is recommended
>Intel Pentium III 600Mhz processor or equivalent
>128 MB RAM
>Hard Disk drive with at least 230Mb of disk space
>OSS compatible sound card
>A 100% full OpenGL compliant 3-D video card and Linux driver.
Ahhh, don't worry, its just the fanboys who can't stand their genre getting mainstream popularity. All the guys (ok, read 'nerds') I know who played that game love it. And as for the music, wow. I still find myself humming Aerith's theme or the overworld theme today.
Crimsonland is by far the best game on that last. You really should give that game a whirl. Truly addicting smash TV style from days past. Guns + Buckets o' blood + powers = good times:)
(sorry, don't mean to be trolling)
The realy 'funny' part about the word niggardly, is that a mayor's aid in Washington used it and then later was forced to resign because it was thought he used a racial slur. Search for "niggardly".
Resiging due to the ignorance of others. Thats a sad, sad state of society.
From what I know about Germany, they just seem to look past the Nazi era. It seems like they all know that it happened, but act like it didn't. I have even heard of it not being taught in schools. I am not sure if this if fact or just hearsay, though.
On a trip to Germany, i did have a chance to meet an old fighter pilot in WWII. My and my father talked with him and learned that he was stationed in Italy, and told him that my grandfather was also stationed there. We all just sort of looked at each other and shrugged, and went on. It was very interesting for us to both know that the other person was the enemy at one point, but we were able to look past that now as life moves forward.
The airspeed vab, solved in body-fixed coordinates, contains the x-, y-, and z-components of the aircraft's velocity relative to the surrounding air. The airspeed is the difference between the inertial velocity vb and the wind vwb, which are both also formulated in body-fixed coordinates. -Taken from this site
So, if i understand this correctly, the airspeed-velocity, would be the velocity of the aircraft (or sparrow) with the wind speed subtracted. Wouldn't the wind have to have a direction though, making it a vector as well?
Props to you for finding that. That is a very interesting read indeed. I never thought about Jonah emerging from the fish in relation to the Assyrian god Dagan. I, for one, would probably be a bit freaked out if i saw a whale or something spit up a guy onto a beach who was turned pale white all over (presumably from the gastric juices, which had also never crossed my mind).
I would agree, i do not hate spam in the least. And plus, its always fun bringing spam to the lunch table and people freaking out over it. Fried spam is a lovely thing.
well, first, MS better figure out how to move their own servers from linux to windows since a simple search on the site in the article for microsoft.com returned: The site www.microsoft.com is running Microsoft-IIS/6.0 on Linux.
I, personally, thought that Resident Evil was a good movie. Albeit, it really didn't follow much of the game's story line, the ending was a perfect setup for Resident Evil 2, though.

You know, I had an odd feeling that the evil bit I heard so much about last year might in some way not be used for the good of the public.
e1m2?? What are you thinking. e1m7, the House of Chthon is where the best multiplayer map evar resides!

I believe that would be GNU/ianDeb stable: 'Peep'
I totally agree.

Phew! Good thing MultiPlan's not on that list, otherwise I don't know what i'd do!

As useful as that may be in Norway, here in the U.S., its a bit more uncommon to ski into movie theaters.
So wouldn't this also mean that every Windows user would have to pay $699 to Eola? Because i mean, after all, they are illegally running stolen ip.
