If you look very closely at the death star attack scene at the end of Ep IV you can actually see the 'Intel Inside' sticker on the surface of the death star.
I was lucky enough to meet Douglas several times at book signings over here in England and went to a public talk he gave in London about conservationism when "last chance to see" came out.
Always very courteous and pleasant.
Last time I saw him was in Camden High St, London about 6 years ago buying a sandwich in a shop.
Usage Note: For many grammarians, unique is the paradigmatic absolute term, a shibboleth that distinguishes between those who understand that such a term cannot be modified by an adverb of degree or a comparative adverb and those who do not. These grammarians would say that a thing is either unique or not unique and that it is therefore incorrect to say that something is very unique or more unique than something else. Most of the Usage Panel supports this traditional view.
They dont have any technology to detect whether you have a tv or not.
All they have is a list of all address in the uk and a list of all people with a tv license. If you dont have a license they assume you have a tv and the amusing requests for money start.
It doesnt seem to recognise 'London' as a city in Europe.
Come to think of it, it doesnt seem to show Europe at all and scrolling down from N.America to S.America I can only assume that there has been an awful lot of flooding down there lately.
Did you play Knifey Spooney with him as well?
"to play a range of 29 musical notes" - clever robot! It found 22 new musical notes !
Why don't the DOJ just skip this whole step and just ask the NSA to share their Echelon data instead? Seems like a duplication of effort otherwise

Presumably you need root access to the servers to fire the torpedoes at the I.R.S. boats that come after you?

There is no such word as 'uniqueness'. Something is either unique or it isn't. It is an absolute.
Classic nerd porn
We over here in the UK, naturally, followed Bush policy which brought us both up to the figure of 24.6%.
The additional 1% is friendly fire
Hmm, only two google stories on the slashdot homepage today?
The whole system needs to be replaced so that a digital signal can be terminated if a license payment has not been made
It's the only way
Shouldn't that be "a particle accelerator acts like the atmosphere above Earth's strongest storms"
Since when did nature copy what we did?

The letters are funny too.
"Dear Sir.
We are really quite angry that you haven't bought a tv license.
While we have no proof that you actually have a tv we assume you've got one because, well, most people have got one.
Failure to buy a license will result in us sending you another letter telling you how angry we are."
That's some party trick!
RFID tag 'em all
Perhaps it's just a research centre for the next google lunar pod.

Computer programming is not an art, it is a craft.
After all, a statue or a painting has no use other than to be a statue or a painting.
By this defintion, computer created art can be art as long as it has no function or use.
Also, by this defintion, microsoft makes the most artistic software in the world.
Can I get them replaced? Any advice?
