Long line of Priuses heading North

But she probably won't
Nate Silver is predicting that Trump will win Florida.
He also says Hillary is one state away from losing the election (ie - if even one D state flips to an R, she loses).
It's a close race - I'm looking forward to seeing the results.
-
Re:Don't worry guys...
That's not true. According to the most recent reports Melania was here illegally.
So despite Trump's rants about illegals, he chose to marry one. Just shows how fluid Trump's principles are. Like when he defended Bill Clinton, called him a great president and called the impeachment wrong but now, suddenly everything is Bill's fault. -
Re:not in N.C.
I applaud you sir! You have, in your mind, defined the problem so narrowly that you are only willing to see evidence that cannot possibly exist. You must've been paying attention in Gaslighting 101.
I assure you that only diehard fanatics like yourself obsess over whatever activity you specifically define as "voter fraud". Most of us humans, however, are gravely concerned about honest and fair elections, and the threats are many, including voter fraud, election fraud, and whatever other forms of fraud could possibly interfere.
Florida (Note that the response to this was to send out 173,000 more blank ballots.
Anyone that cares to spend a little time searching can probably find similar stories from nearly any state. Oh, and of course the Project Veritas Action videos show people discussing the mechanics of successful fraud, clearly from a position of personal knowledge.
Keep in mind that a lot of this fraud is very hard to prove. In nearly every story, the people involved protest their innocence. Bank robbers caught in the act tend to do that too, of course, as do innocent people. A year from now, we'll know the extent of the fraud that was caught and prosecuted, and maybe have an idea of the fraud that was caught, but not prosecuted, and absolutely no idea how much fraud was not caught.

Re:There's more to come...
Where to start? Perhaps you could start by reading the articles you've linked, or maybe even going to the actual sources of those stories? Allow me to help:
1) The Thornton Law firm (straw donor program) -- The Boston Globe reports that at least 21 politicians nationwide, including Senator Elizabeth Warren, have agreed to give back or give-away over $600,000 received from the law firm. Given that no charges have yet been brought, nor have federal authorities even begun investigating the case, it looks to me like the Democrats who received donations from the Thornton firm are being about as above-board regarding this unfortunate incident as you could reasonably ask them to be.
2) Patriot Majority USA (voter fraud ring) -- As other posters in this thread have noted, the investigation is for alleged voter registration issues, not voting fraud. However, a total of 10 suspicious registration forms, out of the 40,000 the group claims to have submitted, certainly isn't going to move the election one iota in either direction, and this incident seems a far cry from the kind of fraud you appear to be alleging.
3) Peter Kadzik email on May 19th, 2015 -- As CNN points out in a recent article, the filing referred to in the email had already been made public a day before Mr. Kadzik sent his email. However, aside from that point, I'd agree it does look like Mr. Kadzik intended to tip-off the Clinton campaign, and I would also agree that even the appearance of impropriety in a Justice Department official should be investigated.
4) Peter Kadzik supposedly in charge of reopened investigation -- Again, as CNN reported in the article linked above, Peter Kadzik is not involved in any known Justice Department investigations regarding the Clinton family. Obviously, if Mr. Kadzik isn't involved the investigations, there is no conflict of interest, making his relationship with John Podesta, or his son's relationship with Podesta for that matter, wholly immaterial. Even Republican Senator Trey Gowdy, who chaired the House Select Committee on Benghazi, admits Mr. Kadzik isn't a decision-maker at the Department of Justice.
5) Hopewell Baptist Church fire -- Unfortunately, your YOUCARING link appears dead, but several sources confirm that the Hopewell church was likely set on fire Tuesday night, with the message 'Vote Trump' spray-painted around the same time. As the article points out, there's likely no way to know for sure if Trump supporters started the fire, but it's certainly troubling. However, I have no doubt that the community of Greenville will pull together and rebuild the damage, and I imagine some of that help will likely come from Republicans, including those supporting Trump in the election.

Re:Oh drop it already
How about Kristian Saucier, was was sentenced to 1 year in prison for taking 6 photographs that were later classified "confidential" (the lowest possible classification besides FIUO), and the prosecution actually asked for 6 years sentence.
He definitely knew he was in the wrong and there were even suspicions he was looking to sell the data.
How about Stephen Kim, who was sentance to 13 months in prison for sharing one classified report on North Korea with Fox News?
http://www.foxnews.com/politic...How about Thomas Drake, a former NSA employee who blew the whistle on waste and abuse INTERNALLY to his agency which was eventually upheld by a DoD IG, and then he was prosecuted and convicted of leaking classified data, although he didnt serve any time?
The aggressiveness with which the government goes after people who leak to the media is a worthwhile discussion. But it's a completely different discussion.
I'm sorry, but you're wrong. While there might be cases where people get a slap on the wrist, there are plenty of cases in which people have their careers ruined and go to jail for far less than Clinton is suspected of.
Though none in your examples.
She mishandled the highest possible levels of classified data that our nation holds,
Along with a bunch of other people in the State Department.
she lied about
Possibly, also quite possible she didn't realize the data, that wasn't obviously marked classified, actually was classified.
she destoryed evidence, and she allowed action to be taken that made it nearly impossible to a complete investigation of.
When she asked for the emails to be deleted she allegedly didn't think they were evidence any more. And when the IT guy delayed carrying out the request until after the subpoena it sounds like he was just being a moron.
And then the FBI destroyed the relevant devices for her !
Maybe they didn't want to be told to conduct 7 more investigations.

Re:Oh drop it already
There's a huge leap from a spill (allowing classified data to make its way to an un-class storage), and removing TS+ data from secured facilities, and providing access to people who hold no level of clearance at all.

Wouldn't matter
Actually, Comey should drop out of the investigation, and someone else at the FBI should take over from him. He is either stupid, or compromised, or both.
Wouldn't matter. Apparently everyone on the investigation *except* Comey wanted her indicted:
The decision to let Hillary Clinton off the hook for mishandling classified information has roiled the FBI and Department of Justice, with one person closely involved claiming that career agents and attorneys on the case unanimously believed the Democratic presidential nominee should have been charged.
“No trial level attorney agreed, no agent working the case agreed, with the decision not to prosecute — it was a top-down decision,” said the source, whose identity and role in the case has been verified by FoxNews.com.

Re:You're being silly
And what possible difference would it make if we did? Do you have any idea what you're chances are against a modern, mechanized army?
Police are needed to maintain a police state. And no matter how many police you have, they are always greatly outnumbered by the people, which is why it is vital for police in a police state to have automatic weapons and for the oppressed people to have nothing but their limp dicks.
An armed populace makes enforcement of a police state impossible by default.
Don't you think if he was going to do it he would have?
Apparently you haven't noticed his constant attempts to do just that. Which would make you either uninformed or willfully ignorant. As a college-educated NRA member, I am neither. Please remember this the next time you deign to talk down to us.

Re:Great example of Libtard disease
The Breitbart page is simply hosting the incriminating video. But OK how about Fox News: http://www.foxnews.com/politic.... FoxNews is in fact most decent coverage now, since they are not too keen on Trump. WashingtonPost is the left Breitbart, and CNBC et al aren't far.
Others news sites have picked it up too. In fact the two Democratic operatives recorded in the video have just resigned.

Re:Maintain your standard!
If you listen carefully, you can hear the world's tiniest violin playing a song of sympathy for you.
You complained about TV, press and the radio. So I showed you a list of conservative media outlets which included many newspapers and radio stations. I didn't attempt to show there were even numbers; I pointed out that the typical American has many choices of outlet if they wish to listen to conservative news and opinion. And the bestiest news of all for you is that Fox News, that lone doughty fighter for the Right on TV, has many more viewers than its nearest cable news rival:
http://www.foxnews.com/enterta...So don't worry, neither you nor anyone else who wants right wing perspectives is going to have any trouble hearing them any time soon.
Hey, I tell you what, I've just had a brilliant idea!! Instead of moaning about there not being enough right wing TV stations, why don't you go ahead and get together with all your very best friends, and set one up? You could pour all your energies into that, and we can all get behind you and give you a really big cheer for your services to the First Amendment. Your mom will be so proud. We all will.

Re:Maximum yield
Importing a third world country that holds that exact opposite ideologies as your own is fucking suicide
Yeah, it sure destroyed the USA.
There are numerous Islamic countries that are very well off that aren't 'lifting a finger' to help their fellow Muslims.
That's completely wrong.
Turkey is taking responsibility for fully HALF of Syrian refugees, at great expense. Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt are home to nearly all the rest. The number going to Europe is miniscule by comparison:
"In three days in September 2014, Turkey received some 130,000 refugees from Syria â" more than the entire European Union had in the past three years"
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/11/20/amnesty-international-85-percent-syrian-refugees-in-turkey-living-outside.htmlSuccessful Muslim (Gulf) countries like Saudi Arabia are JUST AS DISTANT from Syria as the EU is. Those same distant Muslim countries ARE now contributing significant amounts of money to support the current crop of Syrian refugees (though it certainly took them quite a while, and they could reasonably be doing more). They have some peculiar issues with taking in more refugees, which seem quite strange to someone in a western country:
"these countries are already overloaded with foreigners. For example, 88 percent of the population of the United Arab Emirates are foreigners. For Qatar, it's 85 and Kuwait 70 percent." http://www.pri.org/stories/2015-09-03/what-are-gulf-countries-doing-help-syrian-refugee-crisis

Re:Assaults of different kinds
Are you seriously claiming, it is your sincere belief, Bill Clinton has never sexually assaulted anyone? Please, say so.
Right now the only allegation of sexual impropriety made against Bill Clinton that's been shown to be true is an affair with a consenting woman
Right now there are simply no such proven allegations against Trump. Zero — confession without hard evidence do not count. And it was investigated by the best minds in the business — the most they could find was a Florida model attending Trump's party, whom he has offered to change into a swimsuit. Wow, the nerve! It was so pathetic, it made some Democrats laugh.
And it certainly doesn't make his wife a criminal.
His wife is — credibly — accused of suppressing his victims' accusations. That is not merely immoral, but criminal too.

The 12 year rape victim that Clinton verbally brutalized was there in the audience
and said Trump was correct.

Re:Double standard
Gawd man, do you ever take a break? If this happened to the GOP, the Press would use it against Trump all day long, and three times during the debate. In fact, they are already trying to blame Trump for it.
Because Trump has not only been weirdly friendly with Putin but has spoken supportively of the cyber-attacks.
Instead of trying to blame Trump, they should be looking right at DWS (who was in charge) and Hillary, and trying to tie it to Hillary's Homebrew basement dwelling server.
And quite frankly, it shouldn't matter the "who" did it. The fact that it did happen, and everything looks so awful for the DNC and Clinton Campaign because of it, it should be news all day long, but somehow it doesn't matter as much as some chick from 20 years ago that Trump said "mean things" about.
Why? Because emails exposed that people in the DNC perferred Clinton but never really did anything about it?
Hell, Priebus has openly said that never-Trump'ers might not be allowed to run again if they don't fall in line. Why isn't that worse than the things people in the DNC speculated about doing.
So far the content of these DNC leaks really have been non-stories.

Wikileaks Promised to Destroy Clinton Today.
For a long time, Julian Assange and Wikileaks have been promoting a massive data dump that they'd make today that would totally destroy the Clinton campaign. Instead, they had a sort of self-promotion-fest and a promise to drop some interesting data real soon now..

The difference is that the ones Hillary employed actually got paid. Donald Trump? Not so much.

Re:Why wait until now?
The latest push to transition oversight began with a 2009 agreement between NTIA and ICANN. The agency, though, noted that the goal of completely privatizing the domain name system dates back to 1997, and that the U.S. government reiterated that goal when it partnered with ICANN a year later.

After the election
If there is any, and I mean *any*, evidence that Trumps communications to said senior Russian officials came with a "wink and a nod", or indeed anything more specific, then there is every reason for the FBI to get involved....
And of course, selling a third of our Uranium reserves to Russia or selling dual-use technology to Russia doesn't count. It's not important, and was scrubbed from someone's Wikipedia entry.
Thinking through the outrage over Palmer Luckey (Oculus Rift founder) from his support of Trump, and all the crass, oafish things that have happened during this election, one thing seems clear.
The time to address these issues is after the election.
That's the only time where anyone can legitimately claim that their concern is real, and not partisan sniping.
The ends don't justify the means, and it's not worth tearing down the system "just this once". Getting your candidate elected is not worth sacrificing their legitimacy to do it.
If your candidate was worth his/her salt, then you wouldn't need any of these dirty tricks. Right now, the only limits we should have are legal ones.
I note that while Lyndon Johnson was negotiating the end of the Vietnam War, [candidate for president] Richard Nixon called up [Vietnam revolutionary leader] Pol Pot and said that if he delayed negotiations, Nixon would give him a better deal when elected. Negotiations failed, Nixon was elected and the Vietnam war was extended for 2 more years.
This was an American citizen interfering in the political process of the US, and promising aid to our enemy. It was clearly illegal, and the FBI of the time knew about it.
And did nothing. Illegal, and the FBI did nothing. Ring a bell?
Recently, Hillary literally(*) accused Trump of treason. That seems a bit over the line even for Democrats, and it seems illegal on it's face.
But now is not the time to complain, we've let these people have the run of our media, our internet, and our zeitgeist. Let's let it play out for another 6 weeks, then we can carefully examine these things with the benefit of hindsight.
(*) Using the correct definition of literally

Re:Asinine.
You may not, but the problem is that too many of the politicians you vote for do. HRC is on record many times this campaign saying she wants to see the "Australian model" implemented in the US. That means forced confiscation of all personally owned firearms under the guise of "buybacks." The buybacks are mandatory, and you go to prison is you don't comply.
Here's a list of politicians talking about confiscating guns, just from a short period in 2013:
Hawaii legislature proposes gun confiscation

http://www.breitbart.com/Breit...Missouri Democrats introduce legislation to confiscate guns

Re:Stick a fork in....
Just a quick list of scandals from which she has recovered (source: http://www.redstate.com/califo...):
- Watergate - Hillary was fired from the staff of the House Judiciary committee investigating the Nixon Watergate scandal in 1974 by her supervisor, Democrat Jerry Zeifman, because she was a liar. Hillary "conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality.”
- Hillary’s ‘missing’ law firm billing records during the Watergate scandal. When the records mysteriously turned up in the White House in 1996, they showed Hillary met repeatedly with key figures in the scandal.”
- Whitewater.
- Travelgate - Hillary allegedly fired seven employees and gave the positions to her Arkansas friends in a scheme to award a White House airline contract to a Clinton friend.
- Filegate - The Clintons illegally obtained FBI files on political adversaries.
- Selling access to the Lincoln Bedroom -- a fundraising scandal, which NBC's Jim Miklaszewski described as the most expensive bed and breakfast in North America. Some of the 958 visitors who slept at the White House during Clinton's first term. Steve Jobs paid $150,000, and Steven Spielberg paid $200,000.
- Cattle Futures Scandal.
- The Clintons' speaking fees.
- Benghazi
- Emailgate
- Selling Access to the Secretary of State -- the Clinton Foundation's pay for scandal.
- Faintgate
-
Funny coincidence.

What good are the editors at all?
Seriously, here's a perfectly good alternative link: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/09/02/cops-florida-fugitive-used-his-online-wanted-poster-as-facebook-profile-picture.html
At one time, the editors would substitute links with better ones that didn't demand you disable your ad blocker. Whipslash whines about trolls and criticism (while making lots of off topic posts of his own), but the editors don't do a competent job. For all the complaining we did about Malda, I don't remember him or the editors he hired being nearly as bad.
-
Re:"could not recall"
"could not recall any briefing or training by State related to the retention of federal records or handling classified information"
Funny, every one of us poor bastards who actually would go to jail over a classified release remembers the briefing distinctly. She, having had the statutory authority to determine what's classified or not with the stroke of a pen (Original Classification Authority) doesn't remember any of the training and couldn't be assed to declassify what she told her subordinates to email her. If she had any integrity, at all, she should shoot herself.
Oh look another person rooting for the death of a presidential candidate. I'd really hate to be a secret service agent in these days and time. I know, as usual, this comment will probably get down modded to -1. Anything I write supporting Clinton tends to, but simply put the whole conversation about Hillary and Trump is so insanely biased as to be barely calculable.
You know what a hundred times more about Hillary than Trump? It is insane. There is a whole industry funded by the right to examine everything about Hillary that is obtainable to find the best bits that can be used to attack her. The very fact that she has survived such a storm is amazing. With Hillary they have to attack things that are years old. With Trump you can barely keep up with the crazy crap he said last week.
With Hillary they attack and attack and attack, but never give her accomplishments any credit. She did a decent job as a secretary of state. Her families foundation has saved countless lives. The health care she initially championed and Obama got in has no doubt saved countless others. The SCHIP program likely has saved countless more childrens lives.
What has Trump done that compares? His most significant accomplishment is being a very accomplishment con man. That seems to be the key to Trump Inc. His two most recent cons were making a lot of people believe that birther crap. (Where are the crack investigators you sent Mr. Trump?) The other one is making people believe that he would somehow fix their problems by a magic wall and then getting Mexico to pay for it. Both were truly audacious and impressive cons.
The wall would likely cost every Mexican taxpayer something like nine hundred dollars if you assume around 42 billion cost and 46.3 million taxpayers from Mexico.
It ain't gonna happen. The average salary in Mexico is $843 a month. mexico income. Do you really think they have the spare cash to help us? What's in it for them?
Even if they wanted to donate that kind of money, which they don't. They have $350 billion in debt. Why the hell would they increase that to around $400 billion just to help the US? The only way to get them to pay for the wall is to invade, and it would probably be cheaper just to pay for it ourselves.
Seriously? The very concept is ridiculous, yet people on slashdot want that for their leader? As trump might say. Sad.

Re:But she wasn't indicted
It's 'kinda worse than that.
Hillary Clinton sent classified E-mails after leaving the state department
We already knew that Hillary was using her private email server for work, and that some of that information was classified.
So what is the shocking new scandal? That the previous secretary of state emailed information to an official at the state department?
, after the FBI concluded its investigation more deleted E-mails turned up that they should have been given, even more E-mails turned up that should have matched the FBI search terms Hillary was given.
FTA,
"At this time, we have not confirmed that the documents are, in fact, responsive, or whether they are duplicates of materials already provided to the Department by former Secretary Clinton in December 2014.”So yeah, gimmie a call when they find evidence that something was deleted because it contained incriminating info, and not because some dumbass lawyer a) thought it was a good idea, and b) sucked at it.
Or at least let me know when they know it's not a duplicate.
(Also, Bill Clinton used tax dollars to subsidize the private E-mail server and pay for employees at the Clinton foundation.)
Looking at the media reports, things like Sigh. Yet Another Non-Scandal at the Clinton Foundation come up.
Yeah! The media is notoriously easy on Clinton!
Did you actually read the Mother Jones analysis instead of looking at their rebuttal as evidence of media bias?
The whole "scandal" is around the fact that Bill Clinton still does stuff in his capacity as ex-President. This takes some money, not a lot of money, but because it's considered to be in the national interest the federal government gives him funds to do this, ~$100k.
It would be kinda stupid to bring in a whole different set of staff just because you spend a few hours doing ex-President stuff inbetween Clinton foundation stuff, so he just has the same staff work for the government instead of the foundation for that period.
I'm not clear what he should have done otherwise. A bigger scandal would have been if he paid the staff for an ex-Presidential event using Clinton Foundation funds!
-
But she wasn't indicted
Guccifer exposes Hillary's illegal email server and goes to jail for it.
Hilary gets off Scott Free.
BTW, Comey said "Leeeeave Hillary Alllloneeee" because there were more appropriate administrative punishments available.
And? What were they? Were the ever applied?
It's 'kinda worse than that.
Hillary Clinton sent classified E-mails after leaving the state department, after the FBI concluded its investigation more deleted E-mails turned up that they should have been given, even more E-mails turned up that should have matched the FBI search terms Hillary was given.

6.5 million active SSNs for people over 112
However there are only about 35 people in the world over the age of 112. I'd say that having an identity card is a little short of absolute proof that this guy is 145.
Between 2008 and 2011, there were over 4,000 people who applied for jobs using SSNs for people who were born before the 20th century.

Made in the USA
And the politicoes are all stumped as to why people are angry at them and screaming for real change, to the point where people will actually vote for an asshat like Trump...
Given Clinton's recent hiring practices and campaign staff, maybe we should just be happy that she hired Americans and leave it at that.

Where's your evidence?
Trump doesn't want his friend Putin and his friends to get tied to this too much.
Did you do know that Clinton (as SoS) sold 20% of American Uranium reserves to Russia, and coincidentally the Clinton foundation received massive donations from Russia?
Did you know that Clinton (as SoS) sold advanced technology to Russia and coincidentally received "tens of millions" of dollars in donations to the Clinton foundation? (Dual-use technology, things that can be used for both industry and military.)
Did you know that Clinton (as SoS) organized and helped build the "Russian Silicon Valley", which opened many US companies to industrial espionage? (17 of 28 companies, both Russian and American, made financial commitments to the Clinton Foundation or sponsored speeches by Bill Clinton.)
Out of curiosity, when you say Trump and Putin are friends, what's your evidence?

Third option
1. Julian Assange will out a source if it will get him press attention, or
2. The dead guy was not the actual source and the DNC would have no motive to take retribution, so Julian Assange will lie about a source if it will get him press attention.3. If you murder a Wikileaks source, Julian Assange will go after you with everything he's got, releasing the information at the worst possible moment, in the most damaging possible way, and offer rewards for the capture of the murderer.
In other words, it's a message to those who would murder wikileaks informants.
And in other news, Assange has stated that there are more Hillary Clinton revelations to come. The biggest stash yet, he says.
He has stated that he has proof that Clinton had a hand in arming ISIS.
I'm running out of popcorn - need to go out and buy some more!

Re:Chemicals?!
Oh god, not chemicals! Tell me there's not dihydrogen monoxide in my drinking water! The government is spraying chemtrails over my house and sometimes when I water my tomato plants I see rainbows in the water, you can't explain that! The orange cheeto people are trying to enslave us but I won't let them win.
Yaeah, here's your arsenic trioxide sauce. Drinky up! I triple dog dare ya. It's a chemical, and anyone who thinks chemicals are bad is a kook.
And how can there be radiation? How can something you can't even see be bad for you?
I hope you realize you are just as silly and as unintelligent as the people you are mocking in your post.
Here's a link for you to mock. http://www.nicole.org/uploaded...
Now personally, I'd be more concerned about the estrogen mimics we are consuming in increasing amounts.
http://www.environmentalhealth...
https://www.sciencedaily.com/r...
Even (get ready for this) Fox News, has reported on this: http://www.foxnews.com/health/...
And BPA isn't the only estrogen mimic. We are being hammered with Estrogen mimics, and with phytoestrogens from food.
Now I do suspect unless you are a total misanthrope and just enjoy people's problems, that you don't really approve of this kind of stuff.
But Bisphenol A is an example of a large scale experiment which has caused a lot of harm to humans and other creatures. We did the same with DDT, thalidomide, lead, and more. These PFA chemicals are a likely carcinogen, and since they take a heckava long time to break down, it becomes a real problem if/when that is confirmed. Aside from drinking water, there are some people, like firefighters, who are exposed to a huge amount when they use fire suppressant foam.

Re:Again with this?
even as a joke this is wholly unpresidential. So to sum it up, he clearly wasn't joking and even under this absurd excuse concocted two days after the fact Trump still loses points with this one, As simple as that.
Hillary Clinton committed multiple felonies. Trump made a joke you don't like.
Yea right, vote Clinton I guess then.
P.S. The felonies she committed didn't require intent, but she is one of the few people for whom the Federal government will just make up reasons to not indict. "She didn't intend any harm" is no defense against 18 U.S.C. section 793(f).
P.P.S. Trump is kind of a clown. Hillary Clinton is a smart person who is evil and corrupt. I'll vote for a clown over a known corrupt person any day. I won't be thrilled about it but it will be a cold day in Hell before I vote for someone who should be in prison.

Re:It's a feature
The real issue to me is quality control of the device. (Why are the mods so harsh?) Forcing it into the black market would only make things worse. Even now though some of the fumes are coming from the cheap materials the thing is made of. I would be happy with one rule. Make the entire thing out of nice thick stainless, with a quick sure way of killing the power. Making it foldable (again with a robust metal hinge, or by unscrewing it a quarter turn) with the element/vial on one half and the battery/switch on the other might be workable. At least that way I know I'm not breathing somebody's burning plastic, and it can't turn itself on when its packed in the bag or purse and bring down the plane (Lucky that wasn't in checked baggage over the middle of the Atlantic, eh?). Googling exploding vape pens will also bring up plenty of results. I can think of better ways to die. Just basic safety. Is that too much to ask?

Re:Absurd Pile
Regardless of whether he intends to follow through on these statements or not, the mere fact that he's describing NATO in public as a protection racket instead of a treaty has already undermined national security.
*Who's* national security is undermined? There isn't a single nation-state that poses an existential threat to the US, short of a nuclear exchange. Even if the Russians were to sweep all the way to the French Atlantic coast.....the domestic citizens of the US would not be at risk. It's one of the advantages of having your continent-sized country separated from the rest of the world by giant oceans, patrolled by the world's largest Navy.
The "Russian threat" is largely trumped-up fearmongering by the military-industrial complex....and that's coming from someone who's been in said MIC for 13 years.
Hell, considering that the US is a net importer of foreign goods, a collapse of US-European trade due to a Russian conflict would probably be good for domestic US employment.....In fact Trump is making it clear that there could be no point in signing a treaty with the United States at all.
The US's credibility for sticking to its word has long been on shaky ground, since we first invaded Iraq (we supported Saddam against Iran....then turned around and crushed him). Gaddafi made efforts to reconcile with the West ( http://www.foxnews.com/politic... ). But then he had the great idea of a gold-and-oil-backed Libyan/African dinar. That wasn't well-received in the land of fiat money, and he too found himself turned on by Western leaders who smiled in his face just a few years prior.
Unless you are willing to prostrate your economy before the implements of Western banking manipulating (IMF, etc...), you can't take anything Washington says at its word. Why else do you think regional powers that have had targets painted on them (Iran, North Korea) put so much effort into acquiring nukes? Why do you think Russia puts so much funding into the development and readiness of its Strategic Rocket Forces? Because if you disagree with the US's world order, MAD is the only system guaranteed to prevent a US invasion. -

Re: Oh, the irony
You are totally right, she learned the tactic (which was illegal when she entered office) from the requirements placed on the Bush administration by the Democrats in order to separate out political party email traffic from the White House email traffic. Or did you somehow think that the Bush White House ran their own email server for the hell of it?
http://insider.foxnews.com/201...
But of course, running an official email, and a separate email for political party email is required by law, so I guess it totally explains why Hillary ran all her email through a private server and didn't provide anything for the FOIA until 2 years later while under congressional subpoena for the records. Then she has the gall to delete half the email claiming they were private.
http://www.politico.com/story/...
Which a court has ruled that she is wrong, all the emails are subject to FOIA. So, that means that she wiped official records...with a rag or something...

Re: AC's Tech Plan
But radical Muslims blowing up other Muslims? Not a peep.
Drudge Report was all over the Istanbul bombing almost as soon as it happened. CNN reported too. As did Fox News...
Today — the next day — New York Times had their article. And Washington Post.
Are you taking your talking points from these dimwits, perhaps?

Re:you brought this on yourselves
When people bitched and moaned about ordinary banner ads and started blocking them, advertisers started making ads more intrusive. We could still have simple animated GIF ads except that you freeloaders started blocking them to begin with. Those ads were harmless but, thanks to all of you who had to go and block those ads, we're now stuck with malware and far more intrusive advertising. Thanks a lot for ruining the internet for everyone.

That doesn't imply that these people have been found guilty in a court of law through due process and can have their rights taken away from them. It is a list that you can be put on with questionable information.

Re:Putin's just showing he likes Trump
-we have more allies than just Israel. and most of them were alienated by bush the lesser, and those relationships repaired by Obama.
W put together a coalition of 48 countries for the Iraq war. Most of those contributed little but they were signed on.
I'm really interested to hear which countries were alienated by W and when the alienation occurred. I Googled for "George W Bush alienated" and found this, which is an article saying that President Obama's administration is doing such a horrible job that it makes the W administration look good.
-our military is in NO WAY in shambles
https://military.id.me/aircraft/marines-forced-raid-military-museum-aircraft-parts/
"The U.S. Air Force is now short 4,000 airmen to maintain its fleet, short 700 pilots to fly them and short vital spare parts necessary to keep their jets in the air. The shortage is so dire that some have even been forced to scrounge for parts in a remote desert scrapheap known as 'The Boneyard.'"

-inequality is horrible, but its not thanks to the current occupant, but rather the past several decades of structural issues in the economy

-maybe you forgot, but the economy crashed a few years ago. of course stamps are up, and will remain up until people get back to where they were. that's what they are for
As a candidate, and then as President, Mr. Obama was quite willing to blame W for the economy. Mr. Obama didn't cut W any slack on the economy; why should I be more forgiving toward Mr. Obama than he was toward his predecessor?
And a robust economy helps people... "a rising tide lifts all boats." The Obama recovery is the worst economy recorded in modern times. It's nearly flatline.
