Or Those Shit Gears of War Games
The Infamous Hardcore Xbox Fanboy at 1Up Dan Hsu Gears of War 'review:
http://media.photobucket.com/image/dan%20hsu%20gears%20of%20war%20review/scytherage/1upreview-gears.jpgI don't think there ever has been a worse example of outright fraud in a game 'review'. Good old Microsoft and their billions. Why bother making good games when you can just pay for fraudulent reviews instead?

Child-Brides is CUSTOM of Islam, & Jewish Rabb
That Smooth Criminal bought his way out of jail.
According to the Rabbis and their Babylonian Talmud of the Synagogue (of Sha'tan), there is no such thing as sex with a child unde 3 years-old because it isn't reproductive and in cases of accused pederasts it isn't considered against the law becaue it isn't "perverse connection."
Michael Jackson is a muslim, and the Child-brides of Palestine are a fine example of the pederasty inherint of the religion of Islam. Just consider if you would like to hear about Child Protective Services assenting to wed-off all their abducted^H^H^H^H rescued children as does Hamas over in Palestine to wed over 450 under-10 year-old girls to men ranging over 25 to 65 years-old? Not only is pederasty the custom of Islam-adherents, just look at how perverted it is become that even the tradition of having a "helper boy" in your relationship with your wife is religion-conscripted homosexuality.

Why does the summary not link the actual blog post at canonical.com instead of some ad-encumbered summary?
Summaries have three purposes. First, a good executive summary adds context that may not have been in the article. Second, a good executive summary gets the point across so that readers don't get attacked by a tl;dr. Third, a well-known online encyclopedia is likely to care more about a press release if the mainstream news media have reported on it.

Re:Those damn evil Republicans
Hey, I can show you the problem with American politics.
Go look in the mirror and wipe the "Go Democratic Team!" grease paint off your forehead. Burn your "Liberals are #1" oversized foamy finger.
Both parties tend to protect their own. If you haven't observed how the Democrats vehemently protect their own then you haven't been paying any attention whatsoever.
The "majority of the media marching in lockstep"? Seriously? The Conservatives have talk radio and Fox News. The Liberals have the rest. Reminds me of this graphic.
No, Governor Rendell denouncing an embarrassing political scandal that's already gone public is no proof of anything unless you're a Democrat fanboi.
Seriously, go look up the fallacy of special pleading. It applies to all your comments/arguments. The major parties' battle is a total farce used to ignite team spirit and keep themselves in power. If you really care about politics and where this country is headed, you'll hold all politicians to the same standard and vote just about all of these bums out of office.

Something like the classified NOSS???
The US Navy has quite some experience (decades, actually) with formation flying with their NOSS (Naval Ocean Surveillance System) SIGINT satellites (http://www.satobs.org/noss.html). The old one flew in tight triangular formations of three (quite a sight to see), the newer ones do it with two. They serve to pinpoint ships based on their radio communications.
Also, the Chinese appear to be experimenting with a similar concept (http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2010/08/china-launches-military-satellite-yaogan-weixing-10/).
Here are two pictures I shot of two of the newer NOSS formations, NOSS 3-4 launched in 2007 and NOSS 3-2 launched in 2003:

Re:Hmmm, sounds like dead electronics
My dad worked nights when I was very little. I grew up watching TV with him in the day and my mom at night. I never...
Oh! Look! OMG! Ponies!.
Oh, actually, I do have ADHD. As in I have ADHD actually diagnosed by a holder of a Medical Doctorate degree and a board certification in Psychiatry. It's all ADHD, BTW. ADD is just something some people call ADHD "sufferers" who don't show obvious signs of hyperactivity.
It's not actually a very risky "disorder". I think differently than some people. I get distracted when I'm bored, and it's somewhat worse than people without ADHD. I can focus quite intensely when I'm interested, in ways that most "normal" people find quite interesting when they witness it. I brainstorm on projects very effectively, because it's natural for me to move from one thought to another and come back to the ones that show promise.
So please, quit fear mongering by denigrating people who live happy, successful lives just because they are not like you.

Oh WTF man! That's just wrong. Seriously. They should be running ads for Jolt cola, hot pockets, zit cream, Linux distros, O'Reilly books, and How to Get Out of Your Parent's Basement for Dummies.
Yes, yes, there are tools like AdBlock, NoScript and Flash blockers specifically designed to circumvent this but to the average reader of Slashdot, this is reality.
The average reader of slashdot damn well better have some form of ad blocking and flash blocking installed in their browser, gateway, or router or they're not really an average slashdot reader and need to GTFO and go somewhere else.

(Paywalled unless you go through Google.)
I apologize for not RTFA but I was brought to the same paywall whether I went through Google or not. Is it some sort of lottery?
'I hope it's the last. Books are one of the last refuges in our world from the constant cry by advertisers to spend money and fill our lives with unnecessary things.'
I would just like to say that I welcome both options. Reader A can pay a high premium and enjoy the original novel as the author intended it to be enjoyed and Reader B can pay little or nothing and try to read Fahrenheit 451 with moving advertisements marketing gallons of premium kerosene at wholesale prices (BUY BUY BUY!). And you know what? I'm really not opposed to this. Maybe the authors are and maybe it offends the your *ism but as long as they keep the old model as an option who cares? I haven't noticed a decline in my ability to purchase paperbacks and hardcovers following the advent of e-readers so why should I fear e-readers installing advertisements into books?
Meanwhile, Ralph Lauren has confused the issue even more by publishing a 'shoppable' children's storybook online
...It's a 'storybook' except that the children are real children acting in front of a green screen that has superimposed images of chidren's-bookish scenes done up in a flash video. Congratulations, the "fierce" blog has done little more than positively re-enforce this marketing maneuver because I just watched an advertisement for children's clothes!
I also am a little bit annoyed that we complain about the RIAA and MPAA as clinging to an old business model and then as book publishers and retailers try something new (or are even rumored to try something new) we hop all over it and denounce it as a crime against humanity. And yet daily I read news sites laden with advertisements. The very site I write this comment on transfers my comments to you, the reader, alongside political advertisements trying to raise your ire about "ObamaCare" or "Barack the Magic Negro." Re:American Guns!! Yay NRA!!
An M-16 is a highly controller firearm. To own an M-16 (a fully automatic
.223 caliber machine gun) you have to fill out a ton of paperwork and apply for a Tax Stamp from the BATFE (and pay $200). This includes fingerprint cards and a signed letter from your local Chief Law Enforcement Officer. Not to mention that on the low end a transferrable (meaning, can be owned by civillians) M-16 costs, BARE MINIMUM, $14,000, and up to over $20,000 for new unfired weapons.
Now, with all of that said - explain to me how we don't have "sensible gun control" ?
Oh and M-16 uses a magazine not a clip. Sorry, pet peeve. -

Re:No, you don't
The responsibility aspect is that real modern wars involve real actual people. You are getting your jollies over the portrayal of events that are the most tragic moments of real people's lives. I mean, sure, if that is how you like your games. Still, I think it is not very respectful or classy. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/slackerwink/iraqfamily3.jpg This girl must be in her teens now. Imagine that by some unlikely circumstance she was in your neighborhood. She had the blood of her parents splattered all over her from them being killed at a checkpoint by people who invaded her country, crouched, crying while surrounded alone in the dark by the soldiers who did it. Do you find it tiresome that she would be bothered by you blowing away folks in her country on your X-Box, because "Hey, I'm just having a little fun, and I need to unlock this last achievement"? I think any mature perspective of a person able to see outside their bedroom can see the issues involved here.

Bottle of Jose Cuervo, clearly labelled as 40% ABV: http://drunkers.org/Jose-Cuervo_Black-Medallion%5B1%5D.jpgI agree the first two also include a proof figure, but it is in brackets and clearly subordinate to the percentage alcohol, indicating that the makers consider it a secondary measure. The Cuervo bottle doesn't include it.

Re:Huh?
My bad. You can add pioneer Al Alcorn to that list as well. Where the fuck is he?
Well, last weekend, he was at California Extreme, along with Steve Ritchie (pinball design), Slug Russell (did a talk on PDP-1 Spacewar, and here he is playing Cinematronics' coin-op version), Doug McRae (whose Missile Command hack got him hired by Atari, and whose hack of Pac-Man became Ms. PacMan), many other notables, and of course, hundreds of arcade machines.

Why it's relevant to him
That's a 3G, not an iPhone 4, and in what world is a 6-foot drop indicative of a phone falling out of one's pocket.
To be fair, he is Urkel posting under a psudonym. Those pockets reach at least 6 feet.

These three political cartoons just about sum up the situation for me:
Obama's "moderation".
Pissing away the largest majority since the 70's, then trying to blame inaction on Republicans.
WTF is Obama doing, anyway?Except the latter cartoonist needs to do a follow-up cartoon, where Obama decides to see just how much shit he can get away with (assassinations of American citizens, gutting Social Security) before he loses the fanboys.

Re:How Quickly They Forget
VHF Rabbit ears plus UHF loop. These used to be good for analog television, but now for digital television they are all-but-worthless. You really need to get one of the larger antennas:
Settop VHF/UHF - http://i589.photobucket.com/albums/ss337/KonichiJ/dtv-antenna-rabbit-ears-hdtv.jpg
CM4228HD - http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/picture.php?albumid=107&pictureid=538By the way free tv won't last too much longer. The FCC and Obama administration are rushing full speed ahead to sell-off the remaining channels by 2012 to their Corporate Overloads (ATT and Verizon), and only leave ~5 channels per city. So enjoy your Free TV while you can - you'll soon be forced to either upgrade to Pay TV, or else take up book reading
