Wonder if Apple will offer Windows as an option soon. I bet they will despite their denials.
There is a huge market for this and they have seen it when they opened up iTunes and iPods to Windows users.
The big problem I see for moving to Windows is customer support. The Mac Geniuses at Apple stores would go nuts if they had to deal with all the customers with Windows problems.
Maybe the show will be a prequel to the prequel. Just kidding!
I think Lucas really messed up by doing the entire Episode 1 prequel trilogy. Who wanted to see how Darth Vader got started with three movies that just leads back to where Star Wars began.
He should have started from the end of Return of the Jedi or a few years later and used new characters. He could have brought back Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill as well. Instead we got Natalie Portman and Jar Jar Binks.
I've never heard of this website before but it's ranked pretty high on Alexa so traffic must be huge.
It's amazing today how much you can earn from a site if you get lots and lots of visitors.
Google doesn't owe this site anything if it is not in its search engine. They were getting free links and making money off advertising from Google's traffic.
I don't see this suit going very far.
I don't think movies are any worse now than say 10 years ago. The problem is there are too many other viewing options especially the Internet, DVDs and cable TV.
With a laptop and Netflix account, you can watch plenty of movies and TV shows. Who wants to spend $10 sitting in a movie theater for 2 hours with 15 minutes of commercials and $5 popcorn.
I don't understand what all of these cities expect by offering free Internet access. Is everyone going to walk around with laptops all day and sit in the park? What do people do online anyway besides e-mail and surf the Web?
Why not offer city residents free phone service as well?
I agree. Just because they were invited to the event by Apple, doesn't mean they have to report it.
But the media is already a sucker for anything Apple announces, so they will make it front page news regardless.
I think Apple will eventually offer Windows-based computers within the next 2 years.
They have already realized with the iPod they can make billions of dollars just by opening up their products to the Windows masses and they will rake billions more if they can introduce a Windows Macintosh computer.
There is a lot of junk out there, especially work-at-home jobs. Here's a site that offers jobs across the U.S. and links to employer pages. http://statejobs.com/
What about other energy sources like coal and natural gas? Demand for these has also soared. How much longer can they keep tapping these resources as the population continues to grow?
How about trees? When will we run out of trees to cut down?
It's a scary thought.
I'm surprised Apple got these notebooks out so fast. They used to have a lot of delays when shipping new products out but Steve Jobs has them on the ball.
I wonder if Apple would have to rewrite all the new software that is supposed to run on Intel if they switched back or if the "universal" versions could continue to work on both platforms.
I've got a Mac with PowerPC and won't buy Intel Macs for awhile until this compatability is sorted out. Also won't be able to use software that runs on OS 9.2 with new Macs.
I can't figure out how you could build a payment system that wouldn't compete with PayPal???
EBay is definitely a major advertiser on Google, but I can't imagine they would pull their ads because it must generate huge traffic.
It's surprising he can sue on the "potential" of hearing loss instead of actually suffering from it.
If you can sue on what might happen, this would open a whole new ballgame for lawyers going up against rich companies.
I've tried out del.icio.us and it's a neat service but don't think I'd spend all that much time looking around at other sites people have tagged. Seriously, how much time in a day do you have to look at these sites?
Also, blogging is definitely overrated. There a handful worth reading but again, how much time do you have in a day to look at all of this stuff being created.
I'm pretty impressed that a studio would not want to milk a proven movie for more money.
I can't believe Lucas won't do more Star Wars films.
I guess these guys have enough money already.
I would love to know how much time Jobs spends each day at Pixar and Apple. I heard he has a helicopter that flies him between Pixar and Apple headquarters.
I wonder if Michael Dell or Bill Gates would also become the CEO of another startup company, even though they aren't CEOs anymore.
The best thing to do is start looking on weekends and then send in your resume.
If you get an interview, hopefully your employer will let you take some time off during the day to go. Don't tell them you are going to another job interview, of course.

CNET says the site was built by engineers in India. Like most of Google's Beta products, it's OK but needs lots of work.

I wonder how many thousands of servers Google would need to accomodate all the stuff people would upload. They might need a whole new data center.

8 am on a Sunday morning. Wow, that's early!!

They actually paid the guy $1 million as severance so he won't go to another company or sue them. What a deal!!

What about people who surf the Internet all day at work? That is a much bigger time-waster than solitaire.
Or what about Apple buying Disney? Oh wait, Jobs is already now the biggest shareholder in Disney.

I wonder how big of an advertiser BMW is on Google search results and whether they will advertise more on keywords because of this.
