Re:Obama's officials covering up their failures
But this ideology is shared by only a tiny fraction of the Muslim population.
A dangerous fraction. "Islam has bloody borders".

http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/11/...My claim is this difference isn't due to some fundamental difference between Islam and Christianity. It comes from a particular extremist ideology that happens to be very influential in Islam right now.
That's because of reformations that occurred in Christianity and elsewhere. That isn't going to happen if people keep apologizing for current Islam by making shitty moral equivalences. Islam has been violent and fascist for a long time over a wide geographical area.
I also think Islam is going to be much harder to reform, because while you can point to some shitty parts of the Old Testament and Jesus saying he wasn't there to change the old law in the New Testament, his message was one of peace, love, and virtue. While that was completely ignored during Christianity's aggressive period, the seed was at least there to be returned to. Islam was born a bloody and violent religion, and has "Jihad" at its core.
I mean Mohammad Ali was a Muslim! Do you think he was an extremist?
Funny you should mention that. Yes, he was, though not a militant one.

Re:And Brexit passes by a mile
There are currently many more countries asking to join the EU than those considering leaving
Yeah right, these are the third-world cesspools that are currently bidding to join: ALBANIA, MOLDAVIA, UKRAINE, SERBIA.
In the meantime, Iceland ( http://www.euractiv.com/sectio... ) and Switzerland ( http://www.dailymail.co.uk/new... ) recently repealed their own previous bids to join. The Icelandic case is the most interesting: after nearly going bankrupt in 2009, they rapidly recovered with a government-run recovery plan, mostly based on public expenditure, exactly the opposite of the EU-imposed austerity that Greece was forced to do. The comparison between the current state of the two countries speaks for itself, hence the obvious decision of the Icelandic government to terminate the accession negotiation.
And finally, this is the consensus among EU citizens about the EU itself: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/bus...
Sooner than later the EU project - and its backers - will end up in the very famous Lanfill of History.

The result?
... "To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize" - Voltaire ...In Europe and Canada criticizing the Jews is of no consequence. In fact the Jews have become their standard boogieman to be attacked
The killing of Jews is no problem either - in actual fact, part of the European continent becomes hyper-euphoric every time Jews got murdered
But if you ever dare to criticize the moslems, or Islam, you will get into trouble
BIG TROUBLE !

Re:Sonic booms
People think the USAF has a shiny toy with a pulse detonation engine. The sound has also been heard over Texas, New York, and the UK. I know the Daily Mail is a tabloid site, but in true MIB style they've got pretty comprehensive coverage of the topic, including an audio recording and pics of the contrail. The contrail pic is from Texas if I remember. There used to be a good article on that in AvWeek, but they put up a paywall.
If I remember, the sounds heard in Southern California in the late 1980s, early 1990s were sonic booms. People assumed it was the Space Shuttle landing at Edwards, except there was no Space Shuttle landing those days. Based on when and where people heard the boom and a little triangulation, I think best estimate was whatever it was was traveling around Mach 5-6. (One of the advantages of flying test flights in Southern California is that you've got this great big ocean you can fly over, so there are fewer witnesses to potentially see/hear your super-secret aircraft.) -

Those "reasons" just being an assertion that all people are equally bad.
Not quite, you must have forgot the original complaint you have, that it was young men of military age fleeing.
Which I am not going to be surprised by, if it is true, since those persons would have a high incentive to flee when they don't want to be forced to fight.
Though that makes them little different from many people, it is often prudent.
That requires putting on blinders or pretzel twisting to explain what's going on in Europe due to immigration:
Ah, the spewing of links. Well, at least you're getting towards actual evidence. Still, what you seem to want to make a claim is that somehow this group of people is exceptional? That'd be more believable if I can't find such accounts, both fake, and around the world in other forms. You may not have noticed the recent concerns about a certain university in the US, or a more local story where a police investigator dismissed sexual abuse as boys being boys, but...I have seen different news than you apparently.

Nope. You must make a commitment to demonstrate to me that I should follow your suggestions.
Then provide details. Where do you live? What, exactly, have these horrible people done to you or others?
Oh, are you willing to come here and fight for my interests then? Are you committed to that?
Because if you were willing, I could show you a long list of crimes, or even just slovenly indifference.
But I doubt you'll even write to President Obama and tell him that we should admit more refugees, or to the governors of the fifty states, or a single senator or representative.

Re:no sense
Yes, 5 is enough to see what happens
Again, there are only two countries making more money and with lower unemployment: Norway and Switzerland. And if you're considering just median income (to account for income inequality), there's just Norway. I hope you aren't under the impression that those countries' populations or economies (both with a population less than NYC, and dominated by oil or banking, respectively) generalize to the US.
Ten years ago, I walked into a McDonalds in Zurich. The cost of an extra value meal was (in USD equivalent) about $12 dollars. As a poor grad student, I couldn't afford it. I suspect its more expensive now. (One source puts the cost of a Big Mac in Switzerland at about $7.50; again, that's without the fries and a drink.). The well-off Swiss population can afford such things. To the average working class American, a price increase of that magnitude would make a McDonalds meal a rare luxury. (Especially if that person has kids, who don't earn any wage, minimum or not.)
You can argue all you want that if we just raised the minimum wage, had universal health care, guaranteed a universal basic income, etc., etc. that it would raise everyone's standard of living at some point in the future such that we eventually become like the Swiss and the Norwegians. But please don't pretend that the price increases that are the natural result of raising costs (of which wages are one of the largest for restaurants), to say nothing of the lost jobs that are now too expensive, wouldn't have a real and negative impact on the lives of poor people right now -- even if that negative impact isn't so bad as "the end of the world."

Why look to an outside group that is widely dismissed already, when you have ones here at home pushing their own message? The question is, who is full of bullshit?

No, I didn't get us into this mess, because while I participate, the people who keep voting for the same thing, expecting different results got us into this mess. My candidates actually have a real platform (some of which I disagree) and sound principles beyond "say anything to get elected, then take bribes from lobbyists to get elected again (wash rinse repeat).
If you have any confidence in your views about how the country should be run you have to find a candidate (or run yourself)
I do, Get the Government out of our fucking lives. Government creates more problems than it solves, then creates more "solutions" in the form of more problems that it then solves in the worst possible way.
I will give you the best current example, the whole Bathroom debate is caused by %.01 of the population having an issue figuring out what sex they are. So in order to allow anyone into any bathroom of their own personal choice, you're also allowing perverts into female bathrooms. My question is, how many sexual deviants (perverts) are there compared to transgendered people? My guess, is there is a hella more perverts.
So, instead of solving a problem (it doesn't solve anything), you're creating more of a problem. My guess, is that we'll need to have gender identity cards (another government program) at some point to solve the new problems that arise out of this stupid idea.
Finally, will we need "Dragon" bathrooms when people start to self identify as a dragon?

Re:Been done by Asimov
What goal would the Illuminati have in a global nuclear exchange? Why would they provoke BRICS the way they did?
They actually think they can overpower BRICS. They will challenge BRICS. Perhaps they understood after the Battle of Anchorage, but by then it was too late. When the Siege of Denver became hopeless, it was clear that they had overplayed their hand.
I wonder if any of them survived deep within their luxury bunkers? One of the first things those of us who were lucky enough to be in remote locations on the day of retribution did in the year from hell was pour concrete over those bunkers. It's difficult to do in freezing temperatures, but we did it. The technical challenge, naturally, was keeping the concrete above 32F. I cannot express the grief you will feel on the morning after the bombs fall, when it becomes your reality. I was part of one of those teams, and although I felt grief for ending those lives, it was nothing compared to when I saw the ruins of Lansing, South Bend, then Gary before finally seeing that my home had been wiped from the Earth.
Sorry for a Daily Fail link, but I'm currently enjoying Star Trek along with these amazingly cheaply produced alcoholic beverages. I'm sipping on an Icehouse currently. The flavor is truly amazing.
I mean, I meddled a bit, against mission protocol, but it wasn't enough. I'd hoped that somehow I could prevent Clinton from coming to power. Of course, due to the nature of time travel, I would never be able to change what I lived through. I still wonder. If John Titor was able to prevent Y2K in my timeline, what might I be able to prevent in yours?
Concerning Star Trek, those adventures are truly tales of hope. Perhaps one day we will go to the stars. I wasn't aware of how deep the different series of Star Trek were. I remember watching Star Trek in the theater when I was 12. I was aware that there were earlier works, but I never really watched them. Star Trek Beyond was my favorite.

Re:Paranoia strikes deep
What did she do, skip elementary school . . . ?
I've been finding myself wondering about this lately when it comes to a number of people I know.
Seriously, we need some way to send these people back to 5th grade. It's astonishing. Maybe 3rd grade. Force them to take classes until they at least graduate the 8th grade. Keep them out of society as long as it takes for them to grasp 8th grade-level reading, writing, and maths. I really don't think it's too much to ask.
The only problem my proposal has is that I keep coming back around to who, exactly, should be in charge of determining when they've completed an 8th grade education....
Can we bring back poll tests? I don't care if in practice that's "racist." It probably will be in effect "racist." We need to solve the root issue here. The moment we decided "racism!" was an adequate answer, we failed the entire basis of our society. Tell me why people with darker skin color might have a problem passing a short exam before voting. That will give us a good idea of what we really need to fix.
Something must be done. I do not want to live in a world where solving a simple system of equations or engaging in very basic linear algebra to find an answer constitutes genius. Yet here we are. It's 2016, and I can't even.

Re:Hillary vs Trump
Any fool can type "war on women backfires" into a search engine and find it.
That wasn't what you typed earlier though, you typed:
It was nationally pushed through national media and coordinated through local political organizations and national political organizations. This does not mean that anything specific happened in literally every single voting district. I can't speak to where ever you're from. It was NATIONALLY applied. I can post you links to national media articles from the time.
If you wanted to type something else, you should have. But what you did say was that you could post links, so naturally you were asked to follow through with doing so. If you don't want to do something, I suggest refraining from making any claims that you can do something.
http://abcnews.go.com/ThisWeek...
Hmm, a lot of talk, but very little evidence to go with the conjecture. That's one of those talking head things, not much in the way of analysis that can be examined. I'd have chosen a different link, rather than that one.
At least you didn't link to one featuring that one guy who claimed to be a CIA agent, except he turned out to be lying. Well, I think, I can't quite tell, maybe he's there in disguise.
But the most you've demonstrated is that there are people who think it existed. Ok, I'll grant you that, I've not disputed it, and I've heard it before. But as I said already, it's possible to come to the wrong conclusions, all too easy, in fact, as perception can often different from actuality.
http://gazette.com/editorial-w...
An editorial focusing on a single candidate, in a single state? But you said it was a nationally coordinated campaign. There is a brief mention of an article in that one that some made claims of a national scope, I'd have suggested a link to that instead. So far, you've got what, one guy out of 33 or so? What about the others, and what about the House districts? What did they do? How did they coordinate?
Still, if you want to talk about the Colorado Senate elections in 2014, we can. The interesting thing I see, is that both candidates got fewer votes than the loser in 2008. More than the other Senate election in 2010 so I guess it's still an increase. The real blow-out was in 1998, however. Close to 2 to 1. But turnout, well, let's see if we can dig that up.
Wow, over 50%. That is an exception. Disheartening that they're THIRD though.
But still, now you just have to show that the drop was voters didn't vote because of what Mark Udall did in regards what you claimed. You know, to get a backfire out of it.
If not, at most you get a misfire, and even then, he did get more voters than the candidate in 2010.
Not as many as he did in 2008, but that was the Obama wave. And in 2012, while Colorado had no Senate election, more people voted for Obama in that state than in 2008. So maybe Udall should have had the President come by for a few more visits, you think?
the list of articles goes on for pages and pages and pages.
In that case, I'd suggest choosing more carefully if you ever claim to post any again, the ones you have are rather poor when it comes to meeting your claims.
At most, you have demonstrated belief that it exists, which in politics is often very different from reality.
As to whether it was applied nationally, what do you want... statements from the DNC at the time?
Well, you did say natio

Re:It's a trap
It will be interesting to see what the rest of the GOP do now. After a year of trashing Trump, calling him all sorts of things, they are either going to have to eat several courses of humble pie or rip the party apart by continuing to oppose their official candidate.
This happens every election cycle, but I think this is the nastiest I can remember in my lifetime. However, the rank & file have already begun to consolidate behind him, realizing that he's still better than Hillary in their opinion. I saw Bobby Jindahl on the news last night saying that he will now be supporting Trump since he's the nominee. Trump also toned down the rhetoric last night in his victory speech, which will probably help everyone on the R side settle down.
The polls suggest that Trump will find it hard to beat Hillary, because despite some popularity he also has a higher disapproval rating than anyone in the history of politics. Then again you can never rule anyone out in a two horse race. For me a Trump win would be a nightmare scenario, but I'm also kind of curious to see how the rest of the world would react.
Most recent polls show Trump closing on Clinton or tied with her. Regardless, I won't be voting for either of them, since it's not a binary choice. Interesting to note, the Libertarian Party got a nice bump in traffic last night after Cruz announced he's dropping out.

Its a simple fact that flying first or business class has a terribly higher carbon foot print. If Obama cares so much about climate change he would set an example the new airforce one would have been a 737ER with all coach seats! Set up that way there would be plenty of room for his entourage and the press core, it would just be way less comfortable. Ah but you see sacrifices are for the rest of us to make.
The elites don't need to lead by example. They can simply pick up and move to wherever things are pleasant, while all the "little people" die off. What, you actually thought they give a damn about you? If billions of us "little people" died off, all they would do is move somewhere until the bodies were done decomposing, so they wouldn't have to deal with all that annoying stench.

Re:I'm all for it, but..
It is, in feminist circles.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/fem...This is part of 'intersectionality' where feminism crosses over with anti 'fat-shaming' types who think it's a-ok to be 250lbs at 5'4".

Re:Of course the White House loves Google
I think you've got the math backwards. Google has enough power right now, between browser control, Chrome push updates, certificate blocking, "malware blocking", Android telemetry, Android Web Service control, google.com, Google Ad Words, and 3rd party tracking, and the multiple-million server networks behind everything, to tip the election.
Anyone dumb enough to bring an Android device into a non-secure area could be spied on by their Google phone if Alphabet, Inc. really wanted to, which of course leads to the ability to pressure or even outright extort if it came down to it. And if you don't think self-important hipster solutionists obsessed with changing the world "for the greater good" might see the ends as justifying the means, you might not be familiar with what people at Uber did a while back, and also suggested as an operation:
The news follows another incident this week in which a senior executive at Uber made a grovelling apology after suggesting putting a team together to dig up dirt on journalists who criticise his company.
Emil Michael, who made the remarks at a private dinner in Manhattan, said he had dreamed up an eight-man team who would find out about writers' personal lives and families so that Uber could discredit them.Combined with Facebook employees thinking in any way, shape, or form, that "preventing Candidate XYZ from winning" is ethical, there's far more to fear from the Cloud than from DC at this point, and this is coming from a libertarian-ish, small (federal) government, Tea Party-ish, neo-federalist conservative.

Re:A Conspiracy Theorist Walks Into a Bar
Building 7 explanation.
Video of beams buckling due to heat.Sorry, it's obvious you don't buy the "internal column buckled due to fire" explanation, even though fire was ALSO the cause, albeit indirectly, for the collapse of the towers that WERE hit by airplanes.
I don't care if you don't drink the kool-aid, but I think you need to back the buckle off on your tinfoil hat.

Re:Not To Worry
Slightly off-topic, but a big problem with the cost of prescription eyewear appears to a complete lockup of the market by one vendor, Luxotica. This vendor apparently controls the production, sales, and even the insurance for prescription eyewear. That makes it easy for them to provide the appearance of competition, without any actual competition. And if they control the insurance vendors, then they can reimburse you more for picking one of their brands than a competitive brand. See http://www.dailymail.co.uk/fem... or search for "Luxotica scam" or similar terms to see other articles.

Re:never was complicated
Personally, I rely on table height, moment of inertia, and the air resistance differential between the buttered and buttered sides to ensure my toast lands buttered-side-down. (I don't each much peanutbutter)

This is a much better article, from the same source.
