Of course they do
Facebook employees were caught suppressing user content that they did not agree with.
Twitter used to be more open but has bent to pressure to censor from corporate and government.

Re:Congratulations Europe
50 years from now, the oceans will be clean.
And your countries will be completely destroyed by the flood of African and Muslim filth that you are allowing in.
Good Work!!
Bah. Europe has bigger problems, and they've got their head up their asses.
In 50 years European cities will be like Karachi - filthy, not enough resources for the population.
And the dominant religion will be grooming young non-Muslim girls for gang rape.
But don't you dare report on it - you'll go to jail.
Britain Has Fallen: Journalist Jailed for Covering Child Sex Trafficking Trial
It is a crime to report on certain events in Great Britain. But one defiant journalist ignored the court imposed gag orders and reported anyway on three connected sex abuse trials involving dozens of defendants.
Police arrested Tommy Robinson outside the courthouse while he filmed using Facebook live. The courts had already delivered a suspended sentence to him for covering the second trial. Now they say he has breached the conditions of that suspended sentence and will be spending 13 months in prison.
...Grooming Gangs
In February the Independent ran an article explaining the case after 17 men and one woman was convicted of grooming, drugging, and raping young women. The trial reported by the Independent, and the trials covered by Robinson, stem from the same “grooming gang” which allegedly victimized 700 girls near Newcastle.
...Of eight victims covered in the trials, six were white and two were of African heritage, while the perpetrators came from a diverse range of backgrounds including Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian, Iranian, Iraqi, Kurdish, Turkish, Albanian and Eastern European.
Care to guess the religion of peace that must not be named?
Oh noes! Now the SJWs are going to call me an "Islamaphobe"!!!

Re:Given the choice
That's not how it works. When you short a stock, you effectively create a new share of the stock, which you then sell; those shares effectively disappear when you cover your short. The reason shorting drives the stock down is that you're creating more supply. When you cover, you're reducing the supply. The price rise is fundamental to the reduced supply, not a transient phenomenon.
Look at past short squeezes to see what happens.

Re:Take away the guns
If it is reasonable to believe that a person moving their hands towards their body is reaching for a gun, then there are too many guns. Time to round them up and ban them.
No, time to make the cops be responsible for their actions. In Indiana you're allowed to shoot cops in self defense.
https://www.zerohedge.com/news...Since they passed that law, law enforcement being so lax and blowing people away has stopped. They know they can be legally blown away. So the answer again is more guns, not less guns. More guns, less crime. Fewer guns, more crime. London has passed NYC in homicides because of their stupidity on this subject.

Washington is Lying.
The Media is Lying.
The Chemical Weapons Attack is being used as a "False Flag", a pretext and a justification to wage an illegal war of aggression.
The United Nations in a 2013 report confirms that Syrian opposition "rebels" (supported by Washington) "may have used chemical weapons against [Syrian] government forces."
The UN report refutes Washington's allegations that the government of Bashar al Assad was using chemical weapons against his own people.
What the UN mission findings confirm is that the US sponsored opposition "rebels" largely composed of Al Qaeda affiliated groups, financed and supported by the Western military alliance were responsible for these 2013 chemical weapons attacks.
Moreover, as confirmed in an earlier report, the Al Qaeda rebels were being trained in the use of chemical weapons by specialists on contract to the Pentagon.
Washington (which supports the opposition rebels in the use of chemical weapons) rather than Damascus is responsible for extensive crimes against humanity.

Re:Not new, Known unfortunate effect
I get very good and inexpensive health care - which has been utterly wrongly associated with health insurance, which, along with tort, and pharma...makes it expensive.
When I go to a doctor not owned by a big conglomerate (Carilion in this area) - who knows I don't have insurance, they charge me cost + fixed fee - and it's 1/6th or 1/10th what the "official rates" are (more info in link below from a pro pointing out how to get this deal...).
I paid ~$300 -total- for office visits, a few single spaced pages of blood tests and now, $4 a month for the right meds for hypertension.
I paid $800 to have melanoma cut off me.
I paid ~$1000 (still ongoing) for surgery to repair an index finger caught in a machine and broken in 8 places + 24 stitches.
I note that if I had insurance, just the co-pay, not to mention the deductible, would have been more than this sum. As linked below, they jack up the prices to make what's left look like a good deal. And on top, I'd have paid premiums in order to have to pay more at the doctor! Why not read it next time to find out what's in it before pushing it down my throat? What kind of representative republic does what they did? The liberals just want us to all pay more to subsidize the losers who eat too much (or eat tide pods or snort condoms or pass STDs around). big pharma...never find a cure, just find something they can sell you forever...tort lawyers...and of course, since that's stupid, get the authorities (guys with a pass to use force who even they like having guns) to force it on me like any totalitarian would. Hedgeless (I know the guy) is expert on the issues of medical billing and how to get it right....

Re:Played correctly, the US has an advantage
can I get a citation?
I found this:
https://www.zerohedge.com/news...Seems like a nothing concession from China as best I've been able to find.
If China has a 25 percent tariff on US automobiles and outright forbids US beef... don't you think its a bit hypocritical to complain about the US imposing some tariffs as well?
This is how trade works. THIS for THAT. If the Chinese are giving the US a trade deal it doesn't like... then negotiations are reasonable. Why must either party accept a trade deal it doesn't like? The US has been complaining about chinese trade practices for years. Its been an ongoing thing from BOTH political parties.
Many like to just blame the evil Trump for this... never mind that Obama, Hillary, etc complained about it as well. That pacific trade pact that Trump killed was specifically marketed as a means to control chinese trade misdeeds. And Obama was pushing it... Hillary was pushing it... So... it seems like everyone agrees that china has to be slapped on trade. Which major player besides china itself disagrees? Because the entire american political establishment agrees. I'm sure the EU agrees as well since I've seen some German companies complain about Chinese tech theft.
Who is in your corner here, bub? Because whilst I see a lot of people trying to spin this to make their political opposition look bad, whenever they're in power they agree with the position effectively anyway... which merely calls into question their integrity when they say otherwise out of power.
Get over it. Its a real issue. Go through the stages of grief and arrive at acceptance... you're at denial right now so I expect you're going to try "anger" next... Save your breath... just go through bargaining, depression, and finally just take it. It is what it is. Accept it.

Re:Wait a second...narrative shifting
Meet Hillary Clinton's Other, More Powerful And Shadowy Oppo Research Firm
Meet London-based Hakluyt & Co., founded by three former British intelligence operatives in 1995 to provide the kind of otherwise inaccessible research for which select governments and Fortune 500 corporations pay huge sums.
Whereas Fusion GPS was created by three former Wall Street Journal reporters with links to the U.S. intelligence community, Hakluyt — with offices in London, New York, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney — was founded by an enterprising trio of former British intelligence operatives with deep connections throughout the world’s official and corporate corridors of power and influence.
Hakluyt is described by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism’s Henry Williams as “one of the more secretive firms within the corporate investigations world” and as “a retirement home for ex-MI6 [British foreign intelligence] officers, but it now also recruits from the worlds of management consultancy and banking ”
The firm’s “style appears to be much more in the mold of the Christopher Steele dossier. Clients pay for pages of well-sourced prose from Hakluyt’s contacts across the globe,” Williams wrote.
Hakluyt isn’t familiar to the American public. But what has become well-known in recent days is the role played by one of the London firm’s most visible figures in drawing the FBI into the world of Trump-Russia collusion allegations, a world largely created by Steele in the infamous dossier bearing his name.
When the drunken junior Trump foreign policy adviser George Papodopoulous boasted in a London bar in May 2016 about Russian intelligence operatives peddling hacked emails that were damaging to Clinton, his most interested listener, according to The New York Times, was Alexander Downer, Australian high commissioner to the U.K.
It was Downer who told the FBI of Papodopoulos’ comments, which became one of the “driving factors that led the FBI to open an investigation in July 2016 into Russia’s attempts to disrupt the election and whether any of President Trump’s associates conspired,” The Times reported.
Downer, a long-time Aussie chum of Bill and Hillary Clinton, had been on Hakluyt’s advisory board since 2008. Officially, he had to resign his Hakluyt role in 2014, but his informal connections continued uninterrupted, the News Corp. Australian Network reported in a January 2016 exclusive:
But it can be revealed Mr. Downer has still been attending client conferences and gatherings of the group, including a client cocktail soirée at the Orangery at Kensington Palace a few months ago.
His attendance at that event is understood to have come days after he also attended a two-day country retreat at the invitation of the group, which has been involved in a number of corporate spy scandals in recent times.
The News Corp. Australian Network quoted an unnamed British diplomatic source explaining that Hakluyt “operates in the shadows, it’s not exactly open and transparent and so any serving, and that’s the difference, serving diplomat with access to sensitive information and insight associating with the group raises a worry in Whitehall.” Whitehall is the British government’s equivalent to the White House.
Downer’s continued involvement with Hakluyt locates the shadowy operation in the world of the Clintons. As previously reported by LifeZette, it was Downer in 2006 who as Australian foreign minister signed a memorandum of understanding with Bill Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.
The memorandum committed $25 million from the Australian government to the foundation for HIV/AIDs programs in China, Papua New Guinea, and Vietnam. A subsequent audit was unable to account for how those funds wer

The cleansing of the FBI, which you accuse Trump of performing/contemplating, would target people to for being disloyal to him, but those so loyal to Hillary Clinton, that they were willing to subvert the democratic process by any means necessary, including leaks and other abuses of their offices.

Re:Gold and Silver....
Unable to google even remotely well or just unable to type? Clearly it's not the latter: https://www.theatlantic.com/bu... http://www.zerohedge.com/news/... Notice how those graphs trend over 50 years at a time? There are surely peaks and valleys in them but those are still measured over years if not decades. In a pre-industrial, pre-bank, heavily agricultural world rife with plagues and famine, that's not exactly surprising. Meanwhile bitcoin is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... It's not even remotely comparable in any, way, shape or form. Timeline is not something to discard so wantonly. The fact that 40% of gold isn't held by 1000 individuals is another huge red flag in the comparison. And as I type this, bitcoin has lost 10% of its value in a few hours this morning (9:30 AM CST). This has happened multiple times in the last month. Gold has lost some pretty heavy chunks of its value in a day, but that kind of fluctuation has happened maybe twice in the last 50 years and it's quite hit that 10% threshold. That's because while gold has easily and is often speculated on, it also has intrinsic and explicit worth in the form of jewelry and industrial use. Bitcoin, as of now, really does not have anything comparable in terms of use. It's neither the most efficient way to acquire something nor does it do something better in terms of technology than most existing technology.

Re:Unreasonable huh
Locking people up costs quite a bit of money.
It sure does! So, let's follow the trail of the money you are talking about: It leads to the prison-industrial complex. Yup, prisons are a multi-billion dollar business, more if you account for unions of prison guards, greedy-sleezy companies charging big for a minute of phone call to your loved ones from prison, etc. Furthermore, there are companies which have inmates working for them for salaries lower than in Bangladesh, but selling the products at US prices. (Who said that sweatshops are located only offshore?) This article from 2015 may be a bit dated, but still very relevant as the major players are still there.
The prison-industrial complex are the absolute worst parasites of society; their business prospers when the number of inmates increases. Now, imagine how many pension funds and 401k's have sank serious money into this monster...
While I am far from a SJW, I think that, according to this article on Zerohedge, Letitia James (whoever she may be), mentioned there, should be publicly commended for urging divestment from the prison-industrial complex. Investing in it is not the way to keep pension funds and 401k's solvent. (I don't want to bash Zerohedge; on the contrary, it has published many articles shedding light on the prison-industrial complex.)

Qatar Confirms: US = ISIS
In Shocking, Viral Interview, Qatar Confesses Secrets Behind Syrian War
In an interview with Qatari TV Wednesday, bin Jaber al-Thani revealed that his country, alongside Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United States, began shipping weapons to jihadists from the very moment events "first started" (in 2011).
As the war in Syria continues slowly winding down, it seems new source material comes out on an almost a weekly basis in the form of testimonials of top officials involved in destabilizing Syria, and even occasional leaked emails and documents which further detail covert regime change operations against the Assad government. Though much of this content serves to confirm what has already long been known by those who have never accepted the simplistic propaganda which has dominated mainstream media, details continue to fall in place, providing future historians with a clearer picture of the true nature of the war.
This process of clarity has been aided - as predicted - by the continued infighting among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) former allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar, with each side accusing the other of funding Islamic State and al-Qaeda terrorists (ironically, both true). Increasingly, the world watches as more dirty laundry is aired and the GCC implodes after years of nearly all the gulf monarchies funding jihadist movements in places like Syria, Iraq, and Libya.
"When the events first started in Syria I went to Saudi Arabia and met with King Abdullah. I did that on the instructions of his highness the prince, my father. He [Abdullah] said we are behind you. You go ahead with this plan and we will coordinate but you should be in charge. I wonâ(TM)t get into details but we have full documents and anything that was sent [to Syria] would go to Turkey and was in coordination with the US forces and everything was distributed via the Turks and the US forces. And us and everyone else was involved, the military people. There may have been mistakes and support was given to the wrong faction... Maybe there was a relationship with Nusra, its possible but I myself donâ(TM)t know about this⦠we were fighting over the prey ["al-sayda"] and now the prey is gone and we are still fighting... and now Bashar is still there. You [US and Saudi Arabia] were with us in the same trench... I have no objection to one changing if he finds that he was wrong, but at least inform your partner⦠for example leave Bashar [al-Assad] or do this or that, but the situation that has been created now will never allow any progress in the GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council], or any progress on anything if we continue to openly fight."

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/...It is about muzzling the ordinary citizens who want to speak out against the immigration and political policies of the PES (Party of European Socialists, i.e., the Marxists) who currently rule the country under various pseudonyms.
https://www.nytimes.com/2014/0...Increasingly, people are resorting to VPNs, Tor and anonymous email accounts to register, browse and post their opinions on line because they know, as China, Russia and the EU has repeatedly proven, that speaking the truth against the EU's new-speak can land them in jail. They are also resorting to end-to-end encryption to send messages and to keep their personal business just that
... personal. The American political environment is progressing toward the George Orwell 1984 state as well, with Twitter, Google, Youtube and the MNM censoring comments from half the political spectrum.
Most of those under 25 are too young to remember when the Left in America pushed the V-chip as a means of controlling what people could watch on American TV. The trial run was blocking "unsuitable" content on children's programming, but if it can block one type of program, and it could, then it could be used to block any type of program, depending on who was in power. TV sets made as recently as 10-15 years ago had a V-chip in them and YouTube is filled with videos showing how to deactivate them. What killed the V-chip was the Internet.
Over the years, various technologies have been explored with the goal to enable authorities to identify the owner of a particular IP address present in a series of IP packets. Microsoft, with its GUID, and its extensive registration database combined with credit card information from point of sale transactions, had the ability to identify connection ownership and China used Microsoft more than once to identify dissidents, in exchange for the "privilege" of doing business in China. However, not everyone used Windows, so Microsoft's power was limited.
The powers that be will, sooner or later, return to a form of the "v-chip" by requiring that ISPs tag each IP packet with a special code identifying the sender of that packet. It will be easier with IPv6 because each device can be assigned its own IP address. Then it won't matter which OS, browser, or even encryption that you use. Your "fingerprint" will be on every IP packet that you send and every packet that you receive will contain the special code of the source of packets sent to you. Even P2P networks and meshes won't stop that monitoring as long as people have to go through central ISP severs to connect to the Internet. When that happens dissidents will return to radio frequency networks and to what the Berkeley campus dissidents in the 1960s used to coordinate protests -- "underground radio". I leave it as an exercise for the reader to discover what "underground" means in that context.

US = ISIS
Russia Releases Photos Showing US Special Ops At ISIS Positions In Syria
Russian Defense Ministry has released a statement followed by 12 photos showing how SDF forces work alongside US special forces in ISIS controlled areas without facing any resistance from ISIS. Furthermore, none of the US or Kurdish led forces even take defensive positions which indicate that they are cooperating with ISIS rather than engaging in a perverse truce. In other words, the SDF, US special forces and ISIS move among each other in the same manner as allies do.
"#US Special Operations Forces (#SOF) units enable US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (#SDF) units to smoothly advance through the ISIS formations.
Facing no resistance of the ISIS militants, the #SDF units are advancing along the left shore of the #Euphrates towards #Deir_ez_Zor.
The aerial photos made on September 8-12 over the ISIS locations recorded a large number of American #Hummer vehicles, which are in service with the #Americaâs #SOF.
The shots clearly show the US SOF units located at strongholds that had been equipped by the ISIS terrorists. Though there is no evidence of assault, struggle or any US-led coalition airstrikes to drive out the militants.
Despite that the US strongholds being located in the ISIS areas, no screening patrol has been organized at them. This suggests that the#US_troops feel safe in terrorist controlled regions".
This demonstrates that in spite of Donald Trump's apparent wiliness to abandon the policy of aiding jihadist groups, not only has this policy not changed, but such a reality now includes full scale battlefield collusion with ISIS.
This also helps explain why in June of this year, SDF forces allowed ISIS terrorists to peacefully leave Raqqa and head towards Deir ez-Zor, a place which is now unquestionably the largest remaining ISIS stronghold in east of Libya.
But now, not only are US proxies allowing ISIS to peacefully retreat but they are visibly coalescing on the battle field. These realities also corroborate the story of SDF fighters being wounded in a Syrian led strike on known ISIS targets. As I wrote previously in The Duran, this is because SDF militants are fighting beside ISIS.
The fact of the matter is that, the Kurdish led SDF and ISIS now share the same strategic goals, in spite of apparent ideological differences. Both seek to aggressively and illegally prevent Syria from liberating her sovereignty territory and in so doing, both are challenging the territorial unity and integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic. Likewise, each group's ideology is opposed to the Arabist Constitution of Syria, seeking instead to lay the ground work for sectarian ideologies in the areas they seek to illegally annex.
Most worryingly, both militant groups are clearly collaborating and colluding with each other and with the United States, in a proxy war against Syria and the interests and safety of her allies, including Russia and Iran.
What once was only partly clear, is now as clear as the following colour photographs from the Russian Defense Ministry.
