Obligatory videos
Such as... scare mongering Youtube video's and of course the current LHC status, showing nothing is wrong.

Old but still funny...

Re:One quote from the article that is nice...
More energetic collisions happen in the upper atmosphere all the time when cosmic rays enter. If there was concern of black holes eating the earth, it would already have happened.
Here's some great camera footage at the LHC for you if you are really concerned:

Re:Results
Here's a video

Re:LHC will kill us all first!!
If I were you, I'd keep an eye on it.
-
Re:LEXX
If something goes wrong, you'll see it here.

Live Camera Feed?
Does it have a link to the live camera feed?

Some of my favorite...

Re:Surprised
Various webcams also caught the moments after the collisions. I also cannot understand why Slashdot, or CERN for that matter, are still available on the Internet after this. http://www.cyriak.co.uk/lhc/lhc-webcams.html

Re:Resources
The live webcams are also worth checking out:
'Camera 7: looking at the Underground Experimental Cavern from the Saleve side.'
'Camera 8: looking out of the window of the 1st Floor of the SCX building that houses the CMS Control room.' -

And before you ask: yes, you are dead.
And no, you are not in heaven. Your still being on
/. should have been clue enough. -
Re:If both beams are 3.5 TeV
True, the web cams are still active. http://www.cyriak.co.uk/lhc/lhc-webcams.html

LHC Webcam
This is good news. Check out their webcam.

Obligatory: LHC Webcam Page

Re:Interesting and sobering.
There's plenty of scientists who can discuss these topics rationally and humbly, they just make for really boring television.
The LHC webcams, on the other hand, make for really panic-inducing television.
-
Re:Large Haldron Collider
Watch the live webcam.
-
Webcam
Webcam from the LHC is here
-
No worries
Here is the cached version

Re:Data from first collision through CMS detector
And there is a live video feed available here: http://www.cyriak.co.uk/lhc/lhc-webcams.html

Re:PROTON CANNON!
You can watch the progress live, here:

Re:A picture from LHC
Ha ha, funny guy.
They've set up some webcams so you can watch what's going on at the LHC for yourself.
-
Re:Oblig. link
-
Re:Only half
Meh. You have to wait for someone to manually update that page. You'd be better off checking the status yourself with the internal and external webcams.
-
Re:anything worth doing
What you need is the UK Home ministry to install more cameras, so that you can catch this "God" person (thingie?) red-handed.
Yeah, great idea. You can see how (s)he deals with that here: http://www.cyriak.co.uk/lhc/lhc-webcams.html

Live LHC Webcam
Check it out! Trust me, it's awesome: http://www.cyriak.co.uk/lhc/lhc-webcams.html
-
Re:LHC
I also recommend that you keep watch on the LHC webcam for any signs of trouble
-
Re:Voodoo Science
Well if we want to find out who's right, we can just keep an eye on their webcam for anything suspicious.
-
Re:First ouch!
Exactly. Besides, the live webcam looks fine.

LHC Compact Muon Solenoid Experiment Webcams
-
Re:let me assure you...
You had me going there for a moment, but I just checked the webcams and everything seems fine:
-
Re:ohno!
For the slashdotters who haven't yet seen the CERN webcam images of the leak occuring:

Nothing to see - move along
Obligatory: LHC webcam.
-
Re:Why the tone in the summary?
I appreciate the fact that they have set up some live web cams so you can see what's going on at the facility.

Re:Hubble Windex: For that Deep [Space] Shine!
You mean like this?

LHC webcams
I found an interesting video feed for the system they were accessing.
http://www.cyriak.co.uk/lhc/lhc-webcams.html
Watch it for a minute, you can see the effects the hackers are having on them. -
Re:Of course we're still alive...
They put a couple webcams up watching the LHC. A guy has been messing with a couple panels on the thing for the past hour or so... kind of interesting to watch.
