In 2010 the federal government took over federally-guaranteed student loans, and the amount borrowed/owed to gov't ballooned from $150BN to $1.5TN under the careful management of the federal government - I imagine similar "success" were the federal government to take over, rather than just merely regulate, banks.

No one else has set up their own private server, used it extensively & exclusively for electronically communicating the highest levels of classified information, or destroyed huge amounts of evidence while under active FBI investigation. There is no comparison whatsoever between Hillary and any Republican - Republicans, by the way, who Hillary blasted for using "secret email" accounts a mere two years before setting up her own secret email server. So she was a much worse hypocrite, much earlier, than anyone who chanted "lock her up" but now doesn't care about the Kushner's.
And that's not the end of the BS. There's the nonsense that Hillary's emails were ok because they weren't marked classified. If Hillary got an email from a CIA section chief in Japan about the state of North Korea's nuclear weapons program, that information didn't have to be stamped as classified to be treated as such - it was inherently classified. A fact Hillary knew full well as she received special training on handling such information.
Then there's the line that it wasn't that bad because Hillary didn't have any intent to mishandle or misuse any information. But intent is completely irrelevant to being charged with handling classified evidence - just ask Kristian Saucier. He was prosecuted by the same DOJ that whitewashed Hillary's actions, despite the DOJ agreeing that he had no intention of misusing the selfies he took on Navy submarines. They prosecuted him anyway, because he had classified information on his unsecured, unauthorized phone. Hillbots, try and explain why she shouldn't be prosecuted for her unsecured, unauthorized server when far lesser people have done time in federal pound-me-in-the-ass penitentiaries.
Last but not least, there's the destruction of tens of thousands of pieces of evidence while under active FBI investigation. Dembots have been cheering Mueller for indictments over process crimes, like lying to the FBI. Just what do you think St. Robert would have done if Manafort or Papadopolis had deleted 30,000+ emails while he was actively investigating them. They'd get decades for obstruction of justice, even if that was the only charge he went to trial with.

It is much easier for capital to move around than in the 1950's. Even the SPLC moved millions to offshore tax havens. Money moves faster (hello bitcoin). Faster than a government can tax. Even if a government taxes more doesn't mean increase revenue. It's a great talking point to hear about when we had a higher tax rate but many things have changed since then but many things are still the same (raising taxes doesn't mean raising revenue).
Now when talking about taxes, what percentage should the 1% represent in government revenue? From that FreeBeacon link, "New York has the second highest combined state and local tax rate for high-income earners, and nearly half of the state's income tax revenue comes from the top 1 percent.". I think the same is true for federal taxes. The rich, right now, represent roughly half of all revenue for government. Why is that not enough? Taxing more doesn't solve problems like a magic bullet. The 1% do not face usually low tax burden by historical standards.
Also, the average tax paid for the top 1 percent in the 1950's was 42% not 90.

Supporters argue that they have finally figured out a way to provide quality healthcare for all at an affordable price in a timely manner, but they can't explain why no other socialized medical care plan on the planet has achieved that goal. Every time you point to a fundamental flaw they claim "well, we will make sure that doesn't happen, but when you ask how, all you get is crickets...
It's a grand idea, but medical care is expensive in terms of manpower and resources, and expanding access does not reduce the need for either.
AOC actually claimed that the US would save money on funerals with improved access to healthcare... Apparently, in her mind people with universal healthcare coverage are immortal, since they won't have a funeral. (Delaying a funeral isn't a savings, it's a deferral - nothing more.)

My family immigrated into the U.S. legally. Wait list, visa, green card, then finally citizenship. Treating all men equally means people who entered the country illegally should be booted out, and forced to go through the same process we did.
You're not asking for equal rights for illegal immigrants. You're asking that illegal immigrants be given superior rights compared to legal immigrants.
And as an aside, the SCotUS has repeatedly held that U.S. Constitutional protections apply to everyone on U.S. soil, even those who entered the country illegally (heck, they're even counted for the purpose of determining Congressional representation). That was why Bush put a prison in Guantanamo Bay - because it was Cuban soil, not U.S. soil, so he hoped to avoid giving the prisoners there Constitutional rights. So everyone in the U.S. enjoys the same rights and freedoms protected by the U.S. Constitution. The people here illegally just don't get the rights and freedoms associated with U.S. citizenship (mainly, freedom from deportation, and ability to work legally). -
