"9 second clip"
What is wrong with this picture?
What's wrong is that judgment is being passed on a nine freakin' second video clip. Without context.
If that's reasonable grounds for judgment, then Billie Holiday must have been Grand Wizard of the Klan.

Re:Goddamn it!
It took me 3 attempts to pass that exam and now there are 5 year olds who can pass it?
This reminds me of a line from the song New Math by Tom Lehrer:
Hooray for New Math,
New-hoo-hoo Math,
It won't do you a bit of good to review math.
It's so simple,
So very simple,
That only a child can do it!For those of you who are too young to have experienced New Math, Professor Lehrer introduces it by saying, "Some of you who have small children may have perhaps been put in the embarrassing position of being unable to do your child's arithmetic homework because of the current revolution in mathematics teaching known as the New Math....In the new approach, as you know, the important thing is to understand what you're doing, rather than to get the right answer."

With such extensive knowledge of bovine anatomy, can you tell me if Frank Zappa was right? With a tongue like a cow, can she really make me go 'Wow!"?

Re:Fucking Feds.
Everyone you know, everywhere you go, everything you say, everything you buy.
Sounds to me just like:
Every breath you take
And every move you make
Every bond you break
Every step you take
I'll be watching you -
Re:Insane Cloud Posse
I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down, and still somehow
It's cloud illusions I recall

Re:iTunes
I have recently started using Mac computers and I have to say I am in love. iTunes is absolutely fantastic music player too, and store for that matter. It's hard to match the catalog iTunes has - it has even the less known kpop artists I love to listen.
That being said, I have some music files in my library that no longer exist. When I try to play them, iTunes complaints about missing files. I wonder, how do I remove these entries from my library without going through it one by one? Thanks for the answers.
I love Apple.Due to your love of Apple, all of your iTunes issues can be easily resolved. Just spend your usual hour on the tower of power followed by a golden shower, and the answer will be revealed...

Re:What about many men with many women marriage? There is no step 6.
(Danny) Step one, we can have lots of fun
(Donnie) Step two, there's so much we can do
(Jordan) Step three, it's just you for me
(Joe) Step four, I can give you more
(Jon) Step five, don't you know that the time has arrived -

Re:Slashdot 1 in 2
And, I was just going to point out that the statistics were:
1:150 (nationwide) in 2002,
1:125 (nationwide) in 2004,
1:110 (nationwide) in 2006,
1:88 (in 14 states) in 2008.This isn't really telling us what the statistics are today, but I would extrapolate an 8.713%/year increase from the presented data, leading to a figure of 1:61 in 2012. When the 2006 data was presented, everyone called out "you can't extrapolate like that, the growth is over now", but the latest data presented actually shows an increase in the trend to over 10%/year increase.
At these 10%/year rates, by 2040 over 1:2 8 year old boys will be autistic and it will be the jocks and frat boys who are whining about discrimination and bullying, and by 2050, the majority of the population will be classified autistic, and
/. will finally surpass Facebook for market share. -

Gawker? Scadenfreude Central Hoist on own Petard!
Their MO is "Kick 'em when they're up, kick 'em when they're down".
This hack couldn't have happened to a bigger bunch of self-involved, arrogant jerks. If there is a balance of justice in the universe, then it just inched another tiny notch towards equilibrium.
Really, the imperious attitude that is exhibited by the Gawker "editorial" stance is a smug and sarcastic condescension towards the foibles of others.

Re:Alan Parsons Project
I'll see your APP Eye in the Sky, and raise you 1 Judas Priest Electric Eye.
Up here in space
I'm looking down on you
My lasers trace
Everything you do
You think you've private lives
Think nothing of the kind
There is no true escape
I'm watching all the time
Oh, and whoever thought putting the Preview and Submit buttons right next to each other, suck it. -

If you can't think, moderate!
How can the above be a troll in light of a) my posting history and b) the fact that trillions of dollars are being handed out to people who already have probably more money than any ten slashdotters with at least one comment posted combined? It's long past time to wake up and realize that both parties are mostly engaged in siphoning money out of the nation and into the pockets of the elite. This has long been the primary function of the United States government. If you look at the history of American military operations around the world, probably half or more of them are obviously entirely financially motivated. Some of our earliest military actions involved killing numerous innocents (shelling towns, capturing ports, etc) specifically to force people to sell product to United Fruit (at a given price, no less) so that it could be sold to American citizens at a profit.
Yes I know my enemies
Theyre the teachers who taught me to fight me
Compromise, conformity, assimilation, submission
Ignorance, hypocrisy, brutality, the elite
All of which are american dreams -
Re:Yep!
Well now Ive got some
A-dvice for you, little buddy.
Before you point the finger
You should know that
I'm the man,And if I'm the man,

He's the man as well so you can
Point that fuckin' finger up your ass. -

That's not what the lyrics sites say. This is just one,but I looked at 4 different ones and all had the same line "I use the enemy". I also listen to my copy of Anarchy in the UK and that sure sounds like what Johnny Rotten is singing. So I have to say Citation Please

Stochastically speaking, there is some solid molecular theory backing up this idea. It's not completely snakeoil.
Don't forget that the inventor has a track record of similar inventions, previously he invented a technique for increasing the potency of cocaine by putting it on a moving train. Or so I've heard...

Re:Arrr it be slashed and it be dotted arrr
Aye matey but for certain it shall live again in the September morn.
Ode to the Slashdotted webpage? Italians welcoming the Pirate Bay back? Could work either way, come September Morn.
Stay for just a while
Stay, and let me look at you
Its been so long, I hardly knew you
Standing in the door
Stay with me a while
I only want to talk to you
Weve traveled halfway round the world
To find ourselves againSeptember morn
Taken out of context of course. Darn my associative mind, useful for multiple choice exams though.

Still gon' be a nigger if he don't get no bigger
The early 20th century had a lot of raw, dry, dark, and offensive humor in their songs. People who didn't grow up during those days will find it horribly offensive, esp during the WWII anti-Japanese years or during when segregation was still a law and songs mocked African-Americans.
But has anything changed since then? Now songs mock African-Americans, except they're actually written by African-Americans. Listen to how many rap songs use "nigga" in every other line. Be it wrong or right, these are the ghetto highlights.

Re:Could someone tell my why we have the embargo?
UK magazine Marxism Today called vacations like this "Cheap Holidays in Stalinist Misery", which is cool on another level because it's a Sex Pistols reference.
-
Re:"The internet has confirmed it"
MTV as never *cool*, unless you define "cool" as being part of the "Under-15-OMFG-Gag-Me-With-A-Spoon!" crowd.
Went to $hort dogs house, they was watchin yo! mtv raps
But seriously, since the teenagers control so much spending power, that's the only kind of "cool" that matters - since the whole concept is inherently fucking irrelevant in every other way.

Dude?
And if there's no electricity in SoCal, move somewhere else. Do you like the climate enough to live in candle light at night?
Leave? With all these California Girls that love the candlelight? Later dude, surf's up! -
